This is one of the loveliest establishments in Streatham! I work for a charity on the high street and The cutting room kindly cut and coloured my hair for an event and gave me free products. Not only that but the manager Colin even offered to get more involved with the charity and is willing to help our young clients out in whatever which way he can. I wish everyone could get the chance to experience this salon for themselves. X

I have been going to 'The Cutting Room' for over 10 years and have always found the staff to be friendly and enthusiastic.
I'm a wheelchair user and unable to wash my hair over the sink as the chairs don't move. I expect this as all Hairdressers are the same so I'm ready to adapt my situation. The staff at 'The Cutting Room' were really eager to find a solution which is spraying my hair wet. This is fine with me.

As I cannot physically bend backwards over a salon sink due to a disability I asked for a dry trim and explained why (even though it was obvious) and was told, "No, we will not cut hair without first washing it - sorry".

Yes, a more precise cut can be had when the hair is wet, however, if that is not possible and the customer is prepared to accept a less than perfect cut - and considering it takes up less of the salon's time - what's the problem? Does it upset the stylist's sensibilities in some way or is it the fact that they cannot charge for the wash and blow dry?

To be so inflexible towards someone with a physical disability is extremely unprofessional and uncaring. For all I know the Cutting Room's stylists could be brilliant but, without customer care, their expertise is irrelevant. Avoid!

I WAS a regular customer at cutting room but i will NEVER return to that place again. The stylist are rude and unfriendly. The manager colin i think his name is was so rude to his staff. the receptionist is slow and just sits there looking bored. If you want your hair done go elsewhere not this place it awful!!!!
