U's Hair Salon

My first time visiting this salon and I must say I was very impressed with how friendly and professional they were. I am quite a fussy customer because I've had some bad experiences in the past with hair dressers so I was a bit apprehensive to begin with but I left feeling like a million £!! :)

Although the staff are very friendly, their head stylist and owner of the shop doesn't seem to have the skill required for the job. During my visit, I found the equipment being used was sub-standard so the tongs didn't get hot enough, she used far too much product and tried to rush me out the salon when she saw it wasn't going well rather than resolving the problem.

They seem to be much better at doing plaits/braids.

I'm sorry to say that I really wouldn't reccomend this hair salon. I have given a 3 purely for the friendly nature of the other staff.

I haven't actually been to the hair salon part but the part that sells the beauty products (eg. hair oil, weave, relaxers, nail varnish) is quite good. I have been there quite a few times and have found the things i wanted but the staff could help a little bit more and there needs a bit more light because its kinda dark. I think i am gonnna pop into the shop soon to buy some things for my hair. But overall i think the beauty part of the shop is pretty good and the hair salon part (even though i haven't been) is good too.
