I've been going to Askew for years and always found them to be totally professional, incredibly helpful, generous and not pushy at all (to buy new glasses etc.) When I had to get driving glasses for use on my motorbike they advised rather than buying titanium bendable fames (just in case I got squashed) to buy teenage frames that didn't attract VAT and were bendable. They cost a fraction of the price. I'm just about to take my 96 year old mum's glasses in for repair that she has just dropped, they need heating and bending and I'm certain they will be no charge - all part of the service.

I ordered frames online. They weren't what I expected and wanted to return them. Any other shop would let me do it, because frames don't always look the same online. They brought me to tears in the store. Never going back there!
