I bought this for my daughter's 21st. The promised glass of champagne and consultation as per the leaflet never happened. The people dealing with her and her friend were not very nice bar the one who showed them their photos at the end. Overall it's expensive and doesn't live up to its hype.

DID A BEGINNERS SLR COURSE THROUGH TIME OUT 2 DAYS AGO AND LEFT FEELING SO MUCH MORE CONFIDENT IN UNDERSTANDING THE DIGITAL CAMERA I GOT FOR XMAS. 2 HRS DOES NOT SEEM A LONG TIME BUT WOW THE TUTOR COVERED EVERYTHING! HE WAS ENTHUSIASTIC AND ASKED US QUESTIONS RATHER THAN RAMBLIMG ON LIKE AN OLD PROFESSOR! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BRIEF COURSE COVERING THE BASICS OF THE CAMERA THEN I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. HE EVEN ASKED US TO SEND SAMPLE PICS IN FOR HIM TO CRITIQUE! REALLY ENJOYABLE EVENING THAT WENT VERY QUICKLY!

I have only given this studio 1 star as I didn't have the option to leave 0. I went to Pynk studios after purchasing a group-on voucher for a cut and blow dry. I, like everyone else, had read the reviews and was already a little nervous about going for the chop. I wish I had gone with my gut instinct and walked right out again.

The guy cutting my hair 'Rodrigo' was an absolute joke. He didn't bother looking at either of the photos I had bought to show him and barely listened when I told him what I wanted. After washing my hair he disappeared and then returned reeking of cigarettes and then began to cut my hair with shaking hands, making a joke when he nearly sliced in to my neck!
After a very stressful hour or so I pointed out that he had already cut my hair much shorter than I had wanted it and showed him the pictures again- which once again, he barely acknowledged.
Once more he started chopping into my hair- at which point I had to tell him to stop cutting. I was so distressed by the whole thing I needed to leave the salon before he made it any worse. When I said to him that he hadn't cut it anything like how I had wanted it- he told me 'why don't you just go back to where you got it cut before?!'

I then left the salon in tears with absolutely no acknowledgement from the manager who had watched the whole thing and took myself straight to Toni and Guy and spent a further £70 on getting it fixed!!

Please please- if you have purchased a voucher for this place- do not get you hair done here. It ended up costing me triple what I originally paid and my hair is nothing like how I wanted it.

I for a full pamper & photography bourdoir shoot, and myself and my friend were quite nervous before turning up, but I can simply say this was one of the BEST Salon/Studio experiences I have ever had!!Although running a little late, we were well looked after,& offered a glass of bubbly for start the day. From the make up, nails, hair styling, photo session, to the end result, we were not rushed along & felt time was taken over each part of the day. Was very happy with the make up & hair and friendly banter along the way, and then it just got better & better! Taz who took our photos made us both feel very at ease despite being in our underwear in front of a total stranger!!He knows his stuff & showed upmost professionalism as well as having a great sense of humour, which really helped make our session as enjoyable as it was. There was an abundance of backdrops for the pictures, which really impressed me after having been to other venues which were in comparison, quite shocking! We were guided through everything step by step to achieve the best results. We then had a short break before expecting a hard sell session looking through the pictures, but Sam was a friendly, helpful, professional but very lovely guy who we warmed to, and who gave his honest advice, and helped us choose the final pics for us to take home that day. Myself and my friend both left feeling elated and saying what a wonderful day we had just had. I would recommend this Salon & Studio to anyone, and made a perfect day for us, and taking away some pictures we were both really proud of. Thank you to all the staff at Pynk for a truly brilliant day! :)

I purchsed a promotion for PYNK which entitled me to hair discounts and a photo shoot. I wasn't too bothered about the shoot, but after coming in to the studio for my first hair service I was so pleased with the results (by a fantastic stylist called Karren) I thought I would take advantage of it.
Posing is not my thing but I had an absolutely wonderful time. The photos were wonderful, and it was a great oportunity to show off my new hair!!
I would absoluitely recomend this to anyone. Great! Thank you.

Had a fantastic cut and Highlights from a Brazilian stylist (sorry I totally forgot your name) at this salon. Ambiance was great, other clients were having make-overs and photo shoots and it all seemed happening. I have referred 3 friends from work who are booked in over the next 2 weeks. Definitely worth visiting as I have been to so many salons in London and been disappointed.

Came in with one of my girlfriends, the make up artists were brilliant. I was petrified with the amount of make up she put on but i later understood the difference between normal make up application and photographic. Learnt a thing or two.

Photographer was soo nice and comforting, his sense of style and input on our outfits was really helpful. It took a while to view our shots and had to wait an extra 30 minutes after being asked to come back, receptionist was lovely and bubbly she passed time very well.

End result was amazing and it took us forever to choose (probably the same problem for the clients beforehand). The guy that was showing us our pictures was really honest and charming, really appreciated his input.

Overall, really nice day. Doesn't portray the reviews on here but that was my personal experience :)

I don't normally write reviews but felt I needed to warn people about this place.

I booked a 'designer' haircut and treatment through telegraph selected for £28. Didn't have the one day experience with photos like some people.

It was a disaster. On arrival I walked in with another customer and we both checked in together, my appointment was for 6pm and hers 6.15pm. We talked briefly and she said she hadn't been before and had the same deal. She was seated first which seemed odd. I was then told at about 6.20pm that I would have to wait for another 45 mins as they were running late due to over booking.

I was finally seated and showed the stylist a photo of what I wanted. It was a fairly simple long bob, just above the shoulder. He tutted and said 'I hate her (heidi klum' you should keep your hair long and feather it.' I said I didn't want to keep it long and wanted the bob from the photo. He said ok fine.

The 'treatment' seemed to consist of some conditioner that was left in for 2 minutes after the shampoo.

He then started the haircut, every 2 minutes he said, do you like it, do you like it/ I said no not yet as it's not finished. 'Trust me you will' he said. Oh my goodness, when it was finished I looked like a reject from an 80's rock band. he hadn't taken anything off the length but had put in tons of layers, some really short. Not only that but I asked for a straight blow dry he did a curly one. I was horrified and asked why he had cut it that way. He HONESTLY said, word for word 'I didn't like your picture, it's not my style of hairdressing, this is much better'

It was so bad I had to find an emergency appointment the next day elsewhere and spend £55 having it all cut out and ended up with a short bob just under my ears in order to get rid of the horrible layers. The hairdresser couldn't believe what they had done to my hair.

I really would not advise going here.

I came down to Pynk studios in March 2011. I had done a day like this before elsewhere so was a little concerned that we would be herded around like cattle and then given a hard nosed salesman to try and sell us the images at the end. I couldn't have been more wrong. I was with my 79 year old Grandmother who I was bringing for her birthday and really wanted to treat her to something special. The people at Pynk didn't let us down. While my gran was drinking her champagne we made our decisions about the shoot and had a blast. My gran said it was the best fun she'd had with her clothes on!
Although I couldn't afford a lot of images we took as many as we could and the person that showed us our photos at the end was just lovely with no pushy sales techniques to get us to buy what we couldn't afford. Wonderful mementos from a memorable fun day out.

My boyfriend and I were approached by a guy selling coupons to give us discount hair services and a day at PYNK studios for a makeover a photo shoot. This was my idea of HELL but my better half convinced me it was just what we needed. I was not happy about handing over the cash, but now that we have arrived home from our day at the studio I felt i should write to say what a bloody fantastic time we had!
Not only was the atmosphere great. Good music playing and a few members of staff that were very easy on the eye... lol The end product was just brilliant.
Our make-up artist took away those tired clubbing eyes that I can never seem to shake and we were whisked downstairs into the large studio. A great number of sets to choose from and we were away. It was so much fun and we felt completely comfortable.
Although the salon and the studio were busy we were not made to feel rushed or like "Just another customer" and when we were taken into one of the rooms to look at our shoot I was half preparing myself for the hard sell, (which never came). The photos looked great. Even with out photoshopping them!
We bought a lot of images... and I would happily recommend this service to anyone else. I'm booked in this week for my half price cut.. I'm hoping for the hot guy that was working on reception to cut my hair... lol
A very happy review from an initially skeptical customer!

My friend & I had the best time last weekend whilst having our make-over photoshoot session. The salon is bright & has a relaxing atmosphere; the girl who did my make-up nails & hair was very friendly but at the same time very professional. She listened to what I wanted and then executed it to perfection. The photographer was brilliant and managed to put me at ease and we ended up with some absolutely AMAZING photo's. I would & will be highly recommending PYNK

I went to have my hair cut before booking my photoshoot with them. I have to admit the cut was absolutely amazing.
My photo session was also very pleasant. Make up and hair great, photos were so amazing I decided to purchase one of the packages. I didn't plan to buy anything but I really liked them and the person who was showing me the photos have said; "I'd rather you not buy anything than go out of here unhappy". That made me relax cause I didn't feel obliged to buy anything and it was just my decision.

Overall great day, great team, highly roccommended

I was given an experience day at PYNK from my friend and was dreading the whole thing until I arrived. It was much more open and spacious than I imagined it would be. The staff were great in helping me decide what look I should have. The make-up artist I had (Think she was from Israel) was amazing. I loved what she did! I waited about 30 mins before I went down to what I thought was going to be the worst part. It was a male photographer which is what I was dreading, however what a fun hour and a half! He made me feel really good about myself and said I would love the shots.
Well I have to say I was blown away by my pictures. Did not anticipate buying any.....but hey it was a one off experience I would definitely recommend to anyone of any age!!! Pleasantly surprised!!!

I went to a photo shoot at PYNK studios with my mum. I have been to another photographic studio for a shoot before and seen lots of my friends photos from other studios so I knew kind of what to expect. However when we arrived, we were not greeted with a drink as we were told we would be. We were told to take a seat and fill out a form about how we would like our hair and make up (i think this was supposed to be the 'consulation') we were not given any advise on our looks and staff weren't very helpful or friendly. We then had our hair and make up done and we both were not impressed - we could have done it better ourselves. We then went down to the studios and had our shoot which the photographer rushed us through and didn't make us feel comfortable. The atmosphere through the whole experience was dissapointing. We waited around 2 hours and then was invited into a room to view our photos, most of which were awful. We looked as white as the white background in most of them because the flash was too strong. When we were sold our photoshoot, we were told that we would both get a photo on cd each, along with the price. My mum chose a photo of us together and apparently that counted as my photo too because both of us were in it. So we ended up with two cd's with the same photo and a refund of the £100 deposit we paid before we got there. (which would not have been refunded if we were not on time or if we didn't bring enough outfits!) The photos were not worth the extemely high prices they charge at PYNK studios.

The stylist was polite, friendly and considerate. I thoroughly enjoyed my day and am very much looking forward to receiving my photographs!
