I had my nails done there, OPI gel. I payed to get my nails shaped and for the gel manicure. The staff was super nice and welcoming and the process in itself was absolutely fine. They showed me the different colors and gave inputs when I asked.
It wasn't until I got home that i noticed how uneven the application was, not just a little but a lot! There was varnish on the skin around my nails, some sides of my nails were more or less varnish free (see picture), and on three of my fingers it seems to much was applied and under the uv light had "run" so I had big blobs of varnish on one half of those nails.
The OPI gel is supposed to last for 2-3 weeks, mine lasted barely a week. For £20 that's just not acceptable.
Maybe I was just unlucky but since the salon in itself seemed like a nice place maybe a brush up on their gel nail technique would be a good investment.

I've heard great things about Emma for Beauty, so I thought I'd give it a try with a wax. I was very disappointed. I arrived 10mins early for my appointment. My appointment time came and went. No one approached me to explain I will be seen late. 15mins after my appointment time I was asked who I was. A further five minutes and I was asked to follow a beautician. No introduction or acknowledgement of lateness. The lady proceeded to do my wax-it was painful. What was a shock was she did not give me any tips of after treatment even though I asked her to give me some. Im all sticky. I won't ret
