i went to venisons in ealing road and found a great sari..was very pleased.. The blouse piece however, where can i start. They said it be ready in two weeks, i even said i can have it a week later but he said it be fine. Went two weeks later, the blouse had not even been started on.noone called to let me know. I waited four hours. He made the blouse sleavless! Not what we discussed. He said he would have it sorted the next week. Roll on next week..same as i left it! The manager promised me i would leave the shop happy the weel earlier. I spent 4 hours and two hours inside with the taylors. No money off, no urgency by the main taylor he actually went off to get more orders! i was even buying bangles but he wouldnt even take any money off! Stay well clear. Many other shops in ealing road.i have a right mind to call trading standards

Went in looking for a saree for my Walima and asked shop assistants to show me some pure georgette and chiffon sarees in the region of £400. The girl brought out a range of sarees in synthetic materials and told me they ranged between £500 and £800. I told her i was looking for pure fabrics specifically but then the girl turned on me and said what she brought out was pure georgette and that i didn't know anything about the fabrics. Not impressed with the store at all.

I agree with the other reviews. The shop is really well laid out but the staff are very rude and almost lazy that they can not be bothered to sell. Most of all I find the guy behind the till who I think is one of the partners very very rude, he has no manners at all and does not know how to treat his customers. He does not even thank you after the payment and behaves as if he is doing his customers a favour by selling them his goods. I honestly think he needs to go to some classes where he can learn how to treat his customers. I always avoid this shop since my first experience even if I know I would get what I need from there and also advise my friend to do the same. They also feel the same way. Hope this is helpful to other customers

I don't normally write reviews, but i felt really badly treated by this shop (I really should not have made a purchase from them, they did not deserve my money!)

Pros:
They have a lot of choice (If they can be bothered to show it to you).

Cons:

They are over priced

Staff are not helpful at all, I would even go as far as to say rude - if you are young they assume you cant understand Gujarati and say things about you.

If it is close to closing time, they try and make you buy any old thing.

When it comes to making a purchase they dont take your details down correctly.

I made a purchase and paid to get a blouse stitched, i phone prior to collection to ask if it was ready as I have a distance to travel to get to the shop, without even checking my order the lady on the phone said it will be ready on the date stated on the receipt. The collection day arrived and as you can image it was not ready and i received no apology and the cheak of it was i was asked why I did not phone to check if it was ready! I said i did but they dont seem to understand english.

In short i would not recommend this shop to anyone!

Very impressive shop when you enter. Very good variety of things to buy. The staff need to be more helpful. I went shopping with intention of purchasing 3 party sarees. i only bought one in there, not because of lack of choice but because their prices were bumped up. Also when i took the saree to the tailor for the blouse to be stitched i was very disappointed to find that the colour had changed. This was because of all the artifical lighting inside the shop. I actually thought that they had given me the wrong saree! On the plus side they do give a matching petticoat and fall with sarees puchased there.

Finally i would say that it is a good starting point on your shopping trip to get an idea of prices. Then go somewhere else where you can barter the price down (which i did!), you'll save lots of money that way!
