Although Jimmy's shoes has a great selection of shoes. They are regularly out of stock of standard sizes. Their solution appears to be to sell the kid the size they stock, no matter if it really fits or not. They measure the kids foot, and then recommend you to buy a size up while surprisingly it turns out that the size really needed is not in stock. Others have remarked on the odd sizing.

My older daughter fell for this. Arrived home. Shoe didn't fit. We returned she received a credit note... we kept going to the store over numerous occasions they never ever had the right size. Doesn't matter if it is Converse or Hunters or anything. But Every single time we were told credit note fine for unlimited time except the one time we actually wanted to buy something.

I appreciate that stocking the right sizes is difficult, but as this is a local store, it would be reasonable to just reorder the missing size and ask people to come back. But that is never an option.

I have been buying both my childrens shoes and my own at jimmys for over 15 years years. The service there is unparalleled and since their recent expansion and refit there is much more space and choice.
The staff and management are always pleasant and professional and on the odd occasion I have made an error in my purchase the management have done their best to accommodate me.
For myself and many of my friends Jimmys Shoes has always been a positive shopping experience and we would never shop anywhere else for our shoes.

I've got two children and have shopped at Jimmy's many times over the years. Their shoe selection is reseonable and it's local for me. Their customer service is appalling however, I recently bought some sandals for my youngest and when I got home I realised that his sandals (identical style) from last year were actually the same size. I went back a couple of days later with the receipt and untouched sandals in the box and explained that I didn't need new ones until my sons feet had grown a bit more. Their response was so defensive and unhelpful I found it quite insulting. They refused a refund on the grounds that they would only do that "within a couple of days". When I pointed out that this was indeed a couple of days after my purchase the owner walked off saying he didn't like my patronising attitude and I could stuff it. They don't have returns policy up on the wall. I actually would have been happy with a polite offer of a credit note but requested a refund on this occassion on the grounds that I didn't need anything straight away. I found it really disappointing that a local shop has such low regard for it's regular customers. I won't be going back.

I recently shopped in Jimmy's for the 2nd time, again I was more than happy with the service and advice I was given. Having a young son, I always worry whats right for his feet, and when I explained my worries to the staff at Jimmys about this they were more than helpful in advising me on the right shoe for my son, I had previously bought a pair of shoes for my boy elsewhere and after spending £40 I exoected them to last, which they didnt. At Jimmys they advised me that they would allow some growing room, which is music to my ears, as everyone knows the speed a child grows at.
I will be sending all my friends here as I feel the staff here are very well trained, and made me feel comfortable in making my purchase. Thumbs up Jimmys =D

Jimmy's shoes has a good selection of shoes available however the staff do not have any idea how to fit children's shoes. Anytime I have purchased shoes for my children from this shop they have been a size or two too big. Many of my friends have had the same problem, for this reason I do not use the store any more.

Ive been going to Jimmys Shoes for the past 20 years and am very happy, it must be very difficult for retailers such as Jimmys Shoes, can you imagine if all customers "changed their minds about buying a pair of shoes like the listed post, days after purchase? can you change your mind about a water melon you purchased at a supermarket?

I have been a customer of Jimmys shoes for a long time but won't be going back. After changing my mind about a pair of shoes I bought, I called the store to ask if I could get a refund. They confirmed I could. I went back to the store about 10 days later and not only was I not given a refund, but was also told by the manager that a member of his staff misinforming me over the telephone was 'not his problem'. I'm really disappointed. The customer service in this shop is terrible.

This shop is indeed very good. The selection is great. Service is very helpful and they don't try to sell you shoes which will just fit for the next 2 weeks and then you need to buy a new pair (like they do in John Lewis), but fit the shoes so well, that it lasts a season or two. Would recommend 100%.
