I had a bad experience with dynasty as recently as 2010. I bought an engagement ring which ended up breaking repeatedly over the first few months we had it. In the end, I had to resort to making a claim through my credit shamecard company to get my money back, as dynasty were anything but helpful, and, in fact, somewhat disrespectful in the way they treated me. Not what you want just after getting married. I'd strongly recommend checking the quality of the product before purchasing anything from this particular retailer. Shame, as ostensibly the ring looked great.

Firstly - I went to this shop before reading any reviews and would urge people to ignore the older 2006 posts as I find them extremely misleading and untrue.

I helped my best friend when he was looking for an engagement ring. We 'toured' Hatton Garden going to a number of shops and speaking to a number of delaers/sales people etc...some were very helpful, some were a bit rude, some didn't seem to care, some were nice but didn't have the right rings.

Dynasty was absolutely brilliant - we looked in the window and they came out and offered help without being intrusive. We went in to look at further rings, they were informative, helpful, pleasant (Marco on this occasion) and not pushy. We returned one week later to buy the ring this time speaking to Steve who was also very helpful and generally just a nice bloke. They even enlargened my little finger ring free of charge whilst my friend was paying for the engagement ring.

I was so impressed that 6 weeks later when I went to buy my girlfriend an engagement ring I headed straight to Dynasty without considering any of the other shops. Again on this occasion - fantastic service and extremely helpful. Not any any ponit in time did I feel pushed into anything, uneasy about information being given or anything - it was actually enjoyable which is odd considering I was nervous initially.

I would (and will) recommend Dynasty to friends. I would suggest to anybody looking to buy engagement ring to definately pay this place a visit - and visit it first so you can compare it because you WILL end up returning like we did.

I would just like to thank Dynasty for all their hard work and effort- in making me the PERFECT engagement ring! I know i was a bit of a pain (like most brides to be) but the staff here- couldnt have been more helpful and lovely!!!! I love my ring and would recommend Dynasty to everyone!!!

Could not be happier with Dynasty!! My fiance recently bought my beautiful engagement ring there and we literally could not ask for a better service or a more stunning ring. I wanted a very specific style of diamond ring, and Steve went out of his way to ensure the design was absolutely perfect for me. The ring is beautifully made, it shows great workmanship, and the service I received was second to none. I highly recommend Dynasty!

I managed to get stuck in a huge crystal necklace after a concert - so badly that I had to sleep in it. Very few jewellers were open on Sunday and, even if they were, they were reluctant to help as the necklace wasn't purchased from them. However, when I went to Dynasty, the people were so friendly and welcoming. Stephen Perry was very willing to at least TRY to remove the necklace, which he did so skilfully that the jewellery wasn't damaged in any way. And then he wouldn't even accept payment for his time and kindness!
When my boyfriend pops the question, or if anyone offers to buy me a gift, I am beelining it here!

I was very impressed recently with the service I received at Dynasty when looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend (now fiancee!). The salesman, Marco, was very friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and did everything he could to make sure that I found the right ring. After inspecting what rings were available and discussing my fiancee's tastes, Marco helped me find the diamond I was looking for and assisted me in designing a bespoke ring which ticked all the boxes. I felt that it was a real mutual effort - Marco helped guide me in the right direction, sourced various different diamonds for me to look at before purchasing and was attentive to what I had to say about my fiancee's tastes and my thoughts about the ring design. The result was fantastic and my fiancee has since said that she couldn't have picked a better ring herself. Picking the right ring hopefully only happens once in your life time and it is important to get it right. I am glad that I had the staff at Dynasty to help me do that. I strongly recommend Dynasty to any guy looking for the right ring at the right price.

I would just like to say that i am very happy with Dynasty they made me a wonderful engagement ring. I will recommend them to all my friends and family. They resized my engagement ring without a fuss quickly and free of charge even though i ordered the wrong size. They made my fiancee very welcome on her visit. Their service has been excellent. I will be buying my Christmas presents for my friends and family from this store. Thank you Dynasty for all your hard work.

My experience of Dynasty's quality of products and service over the last 5 years has been excellent, surpassing all expectations. On recommendation, we commissioned an engagement ring, which was beautifully crafted to an agreed design.

We've subsequently bought wedding bands and earrings, all of which have been of high quality and in my opinion good value.

The staff have always been fantastic and offered great after-sales care. I will continue to use Dynasty in the future and would highly recommend them to others...

i went to dynasty jewels and i had a very good experience,the repair to my jewellery was first class,the staff were very friendly and helpful,my purchase was an engagement ring and i am very happy the resizing was free or charge,i bought a canadian ice diamond that is amazing.i have told my friends to visit as they wont be disappointed,they have several jewellers in the shop who are very helpful.check out there website before you visit and read up about the store.hope this helps everyone out there.

I had a similar experience at Dynasty to another reviewer. We purchased my engagement ring which was a little big but we were assured it could be resized nearer to the wedding date. We went back for our wedding bands as we were impressed with the service. However, when I went in to get my ring resized I was told that the member of staff who said it could be done free of charge was no longer working there and they were going to charge me £100. The manager and staff were patronising and suggested that I had made up the fact that the ex-member of staff had said it could be done free of charge. I was called 'difficult' and told to collect my ring as they couldn't resize it.

I would definitely avoid Dynasty, they are unprofessional and uncaring and I was shocked at receiving such poor customer service especially as we'd spent so much money with them.

Im very surprised by the above comments. I always recommend Dynasty to my friends. I have purchased most of my Jewellery with them and even commissioned a bespoke item which was perfectly made. I first came across Dynasty after going from one shop to another looking for my engagement ring. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the prices competitive.

Having purchased our engagement, the staff were all smiles and welcoming for a repeat visit for a wedding band. Unfortunately, simple instructions could not be followed and the ring was not to our satisfaction either in design or size. Having returned and asked for an exchange policy (as we did not expect a refund for a re-sized piece of jewellery), the staff were rude, patronising and unhelpful. A categorical no was the answer, with no reason as to why an exchange was not possible. Reading the above, and having very poor valuation for our piece, I have no doubt that Dynasty Jewellers are chargin way above the odds for poor quality. Certainly not to be trusted.

I went into Dynasty to set a stone on a ring setting I had. They charged me £55 which is higher than what other stores would typically charge. Because they were willing to set the stone on the same day and appeared professional, I left it with them. When I got the ring back, they had damaged my setting! I discovered this when I got home. I didn't bother going back (I probably should have). The ring setting had detailing throughout the claws and it looked like the person who set the stone just clamped it together.

I got an independent review from a repairer and the setting needs to be rebuilt to get it in its original form. They couldn't quote me a price but it was going to take them a few days to amend.
