Great local jewellers - most of my birthday and Christmas presents come from there and they are gorgeous. They have also fixed damaged jewellery quickly and efficiently and pierced my daughters ears. An all round great shop and would highly recommend.

I went in to get one necklace repaired, and 2 bracelets and two necklaces extended.
Besides the fact that the lady who took my details and the items to send to the workshop was plain rude and not apt to any interaction with the general public, I didn’t say anything, trusting the fact that they have their own workshop on site.
A week later, when my items came back, the extensions didn’t match the necklaces/bracelet and were not even polished, look I distinctly different from the rest. The necklace to repair had come back black (they were all silver) from oxidation

I had the most unpleasant shopping experience in this store on 28-03-15. I went there to have the battery of my watch replaced. The watch is about 2-year old. It had a scratch mark on the top cover but not really noticeable and was totally wearable otherwise I would not have wanted to pay for a new battery. However, the shop owner, in the process of replacing the battery, completely smashed the cover and made the watch totally un-wearable. To have the cover replaced, I was asked to pay for the full price even though it was him who smashed it. They need to learn to treat customers fairly.
Response from Mr P C Vara Manager
We appreciate Ms D Niu's feedback, but think its only fair we tell our customers what really happened.

Upon inspecting the watch, I warned her that she had a crack on her glass before replacing the battery, but the customer still wanted to proceed. Sometimes when replacing the battery, we need to apply slight pressure and this unfortunately made the glass break. We offered to replace the glass free of charge, but the customer became very unreasonable and got very aggressive as she wanted a new watch.

We always ensure our customer service is to the highest level and aim to treat all customers fairly. We are a very reputable and professional Jewellers and I apologise to Ms D Niu for any distress this may have caused her.

I attended, with an item of jewellery for fixing, as arranged by phone, and got an extremely short and unhelpful response from the owner, who, hardly looked at the item (an antique necklace of my grandmother's) before just pronouncing rudely and sharply 'no'.

I have previously bought jewellery here, with no problems, although rather overpriced, and so was horrified at this terrible customer service.

I would recommend that this jewellers rethinks their courtesy and approach to customers.

Until then, I would not advise customers to go there.
