Carnival Store

I’m disgusted, I placed my first order on 25th June ‘22, I was pleased with the outcome and placed a 2nd order on 4th July,
I was not happy, I ordered 3 items (Welsh Cowboy hats),
I received 1Welsh and 2 Irish hats, I phoned Carnival Store and spoke to Stefani, she assured me that I would have a full refund including postage as soon as she received the items back, I promptly returned the wrong items by recorded delivery on 9th July, the Carnival Store refused to accept the items back, the post office returned them to me on Saturday 13th August stating reason for return to me ‘refused’, the hats were in the original packaging which was undamaged so no reason for them to refuse delivery. I phoned them on Saturday 13th August, Stefani is not available. I phoned them again this morning (15th August) going straight to answer phone. It seems they are very quick to take your money but very reluctant to give refunds, I’ll be reporting them to Trading Standards.

I placed an order on 31/1/2012 and rung the store a few days later and said I needed the order by the 3/2/2012 if possible. The lady said the items weren't in the store but were in the warehouse and it would be possible. I was pretty happy with this as wasn't expecting a positive answer. She said she would call me back during the week. I didn't hear back so called on the 3/2/2012 to arrange pick up, I was then advised by a guy that the items weren't in the store and they were unable to get them from the warehouse until Sunday 5th February. I needed the items for a dress up party so this couldn't wait. They were not helpful at all in the end and had no explanation as to why one person said the items would be available, and the next said they wouldn't. They offered a refund, which of course I accepted. It's been 5 days since, and no refund showing yet & no confirmation. I have emailed them today requesting an update on my refund. Poor customer service. My opinion is - don't list something on your website for people to order if it's not available in the store. Will not buy from this store again.
