Appalling at shoe repairs. Had a sole come away and took it in for sticking. First thing they said when I walked in the door "can't guarantee it will stick"!! No hello. Fine, £10 up front back to pick up and the gap between the upper and the sole is visible. They are stuck and functioning but glue is smeared all around the lower half of my shoe. AVOID!!

Please do not go to this shop.

Their prices are absurd and the service is awful. You are paying for convenience and if you need keys cut I suggest you go to Great Suffolk Street where they charge more realistic prices. It's not further to walk and they accept card for anything below £10 which is what you should expect to pay for keys compared to this place.

I work as a local estate agent and require this service regularly - excuse the pun but this place just doesn't cut it. Avoid.

Terrible terrible service. I have just been to get a new battery for my watch and walked out without having the battery fitted and now a damaged watch. Althought he watch isn't of any great cost it has sentimental value to me and after the staff member using a knife to try and prize it open after i had to show him on 3 occations where the nook was to open the back (which was quite clear)he then used the knife to damage around the nook until I told him to stop. when I complained he said that he hadn't caused any damage and how was he supposed to open the back anyway.

I will never go

Went to Kehoe's to have a battery fitted to my Lorus watch. It didn't work for very long, so I took it to a local place. Kehoe's had fitted a battery which was too slim. This has now been rectified at an extra cost of £9.50. I can't recommend it for watch repairs.

As another review has said, the shop manager at Kehoe's is extremely overbearing. It seems like his agreed role is to field customers so the cobbler can get on with his work; and he does so with a comic and rather disconcerting zeal. They also have a topless calendar up on the wall - like going back to the 1980s. HOWEVER: the cobbler himself is extremely skilled, and whatever work he can't do himself, like stitching etc, he sends off to another expert leatherworker. He is also extremely courteous (in my experience), if and when he turns away from his work to speak to you, which he will do if you ask nicely. Just be firm but polite with the manager, and he will back off. Kehoe's are one of the few cobblers in London to use real rubber soles, which are at once far superior to, and far less environmentally damaging than the crappy plastic ones used by most of their competitors. For this reason, and the quality of the work, I travel from North East London to Borough just for the services of this fine traditional cobbler. Highly recommended.

Against the advice of my colleagues I came in to get my shoe patched up and was quoted a week (!) Went in a week later and the job hadn't been done. I suggested a refund or partial refund and was effectively ignored. Every time you go in there the manager ambushes you. The last time someone stood that close to me I was on the cusp of a romantic embrace. He kept grabbing my hands and touching me on the back and arms. I had to steel myself to go back in there the next day with my hands in my pockets. If you are fond of holding hands with physically overbearing cobblers then I would recomend Kehoes. If you want your shoes mended on time go somewhere else or fix them yourself with pritstick and paperclips.

I have used Kehoe's before for key cutting and found it to be fine, but I received really poor service last week when I put some dry-cleaning in. The manager failed to get it back when he said he would be done. I went back a few hours later as he said it would be there then, but it still wasn't done. I waited over 10 minutes while he went to the other shop to try and collect it, and he returned empty handed. He had specifically agreed it would be back at the given time as I was going on holiday. I had to go away without the item in the end. He gave me my money back but I still won't use this company again.

Firstly as a partner of Kehoe's, I am sorry that you have had this experience with Kehoe's. A situation like this rarely occurs, and I am sure there must have been some sort of miscommunication. Mostly when a situation like this arises it is to do with a communication error, or due to some sort of misunderstanding with our dry cleaning company. As you are aware the manager did reimburse you with the money, which shows our level of service that we hope to deliver to the customers. I am sorry that this has happened, and this I can assure is something that rarely happens. As we are renowned in the area for our repairing, key cutting and dry-cleaning services.

Being a regular customer at Kehoes of London Bridge means that I can give a fair review. Going there for the past 5-6 years, I have not once regretted it. The staff ar a pleasure to deal with, and you are always greeted with a smile. The quality of the workmanship is fabulous! Hence I go there regularly, and this is also reflected in the price of the repairs. They also do dry cleaning, so I can do all my jobs in one, without worrying! Never have they lost any piece of clothing or shoe! Also another key apsect of the shop is the key cutting. A small problem you can always come back, and they will fix it for you. So if you want a friendly, high quality shoe repairer, dry cleaning thats efficient yet doesn't put a whole in your wallet, Kehoes of London Bridge is the place to go!
