Quick service - Had a random request to fix tap shoes after finding it difficult to find another shoe shop to do this. This wasn't a problem for them and tap shoes fixed in 15 mins which was rather important as it was for my daughters dance exam!

Excellent workmanship. No job to small. They willingly repaired the straps on a pair of clapped out sandals.

The owners of this shop are appallingly rude, and their services are well overpriced. Be aware that if you ask for a key to be cut they will demand you to go away and come back 15-20 minutes later despite the sign "keys cut while you wait" and despite you being the only person in the shop. They refuse to allow you to see your own key again until after you hand over the money (in my stupidity I finally gave the demanded £9.99) so you have no opportunity to see that the fresh key is poorly cut (and that they damaged the original) prior to handing over the money. They tell you that the keys are fine and that if you want any better you can go cut them yourself! They can improve quite simply - be polite, say in advance the cost of the service, do not send the customer away but allow them to wait in the shop, and offer the two keys to the customer to check prior to exchange of money. Do not ridicule or laugh at customers who try to complain!

Terrible, disgusting, rude, awful!!! Worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. They have fixed my shoes, but this people were so rude, yelling at me just because I came to pick up my boots, just made me truly upset for the rest of the day. How are they surviving in such a busy spot? It seems to be really dodgy as I can see all those negative reviews in here, for past 9 years, and the shop is still open.

USELESS & RUDE. I needed a battery replaced on a cheap watch. The guy didn't even get out of his chair to speak to me and started asking if anyone else had ever replaced the battery before. After 5 mins of him telling me how difficult it would be, I left. I got the back off in 2 seconds at home.

I visited in May 2012 & experienced the worst customer service I've seen in a small business. Man running the shop attempted to rip me off with the work I requested (said special equipment was needed), the price was extravagant & he rudely shouted me out of the shop when I questioned this.

I was so angry after going to this place today. I asked for a quote for some shoes repaired, was given a block price (expensive) and had to push for a broken down price. When I decided to take back the shoes the guy working there became very aggressive yelling I'd wasted his time. Would definitely not waste your money here!!

NEVER go here! I experienced the worst customer service I have ever received in this shop. They did a totally bodged job and refused to give me any kind of refund as they take up-front payment - clearly because the work is so poor that this is the only way they can get paid by taking your money before and then doing an awful job! The staff were incredibly rude, offensive and I actually left the shop in tears with my ruined £300 boots! I have no idea how this shop runs with such rude staff and awful, poor quality work. NEVER trust these people with your shoes - you will get them back ruined!

This place is simply awful. At best, it is completely over-priced; at worst, the people who work there are incredibly rude and offensive. And the quality isn't that great either. Needless to say, I won't be going back. Ever.

I went in to enquire about getting my zip fixed on 4year old pair of leather boots. I was told to bring them in so I could be given a quote, but when i did return was refused service. I was told by the manager that they wouldn't fix my zip because I'd had previous work done on the heel & sole by someone else (My boots are 4years old!) & they only served regular customers. How does one become a regular customer? I explained that he had no sign in the window stating that you could only be served if you were a regular customer. His response was, "well I can tell you better than any sign in the window can". I couldn't believe the fact that in a time of recession he would turn away business on such grounds. Nor could I believe his attitude, he was soooo incredibly rude and based on my experience I would give this establishment 0/10 for customer service. I will never set foot in there again. I hope for the sake of his business this man updates his customer service skills and invests in a course in hospitality and how to deal with the general public.
