People always whine about post offices, generally they see a place close at 5:30 and think"must get there for 5:30" and wonder why there is a cue of equally angry people - the guys in Cricklewood have always been diligent, helpful and respectful and deal with the usual moany public very well - Ive read the comments on here that have given the cricklewood postoffice 1 star rating becuase when they called the Royal Mail, they had to go through a menu system, what do they expect when calling one of the biggest companies in the UK, someone sat there waiting for their call.if someone answered quick then the next moaner would be in the cue giving it "why arent they serving me?" post office staff cant win, but they try their best and thats more than good enough for me - show up with plenty of time and treat them with respect and who knows, they might show you that back!

As another mentioned he looked up Cricklewood to try to get info. Mine was on an important signed for document crb application ( proof of posting ) which has not arrived at its destination 10 days later. Impossible to speak to a human. Nothing seemed to apply. Waited until the postal strike was over before posting and am entirely disenchanted. Cricklewood seems to have little extra strikes and whilst I am generally sympathetic to the postal workers situation there is supposed to be some kind of service for which they are presumably getting paid but it appears to be sadly lacking in this case. This causes me a big problem and frankly I do not need to be anonymous I am so fed up about it. Will anyone be confident in consigning their mail to royal mail and the added annoyance of a LONG 0845 NO. TO PAY FOR!disgraceful and an example of rip off britain. We are asked to be constructive. what are the PO doing to give us confidence in a simple delivery?

I went online to find the phone number for the cricklewood branch so that i could phone ahead to find out if they had hong kong dollars at their currency exchange. I called the (expensive 0845) number, only to be bombarded with menus and options which didn't help at all. Now I have wasted money and time and will possibly have to waste more time going to the branch where they may not provide the service i need. An option to speak to someone in the branch should be the first choice on the menu!!!!!!
