Salabed

This used to be a good shipping company but the service has declined lately. A package that was supposed to go by AIR was shipped by sea instead. Salabed refused to refund the difference.

Item to be shipped got refused and sent back by royal mail as they didn't sign for it, caused the seller and buyer issues

I had a missing item and no one would help yet I just received an empty box

I sent my cargo with baby milk which they charge so much n paid by air my things stayed in their head office london for 3 weeks before they got shipped and after i called was told they were going to be shipped even received and email after 4 weeks arrived in entebbe been 3 days still at entebbe. They increased prize blaming covid but service is *terrible. They should be charging air that expensive when they dont deliver. If u want to send uganda use money land guaranteed one week and cheap salabed rubbish these days especially with delay dont think will use them unless i have some non urgent cargo maybe.

I used their Manchester branch this year and i must say its the worst service i ever had from any business.The customer service is the worst.Rude unprofessional staff.l appreciate its a cargo place but thats no excuse.
The office was so messy and dirty..not organised on all occassions.
The woman working in this branch is extremely rude to customers,i witnessed her shout at a customer before getting my own share of it when i asked a qn.Used them twice and on all occassions my goods arrived after a century...i had no communication whatsoever and on recieving goods ..some items were missing ,So since then i stopped using that branch when i found better professional service with other agents.
Avoid their Manchester branch..woman is hardly there.

Very expensive yet my cargo was late by 2 weeks. The Ugandan staff that answer the phone are very unprofessional and you'll need to go through 10 calls before they pick up. They lied to me about my cargo and then stopped picking my calls altogether.

I recently sent fragile goods ( solar panels, washing machine etc). They packed these goods extremely well considering they were going by water arriving during the lockdown in Uganda, stayed in their warehouse/ bond for 5 weeks and when they were eventually collected, there was not a single scratch/ dent. Plus the reassurances I got during the lock down that every thing will be fine and at no extra cost. All I can say, Salabed, You are the best and you have done Uganda proud for this excellent service you are rendering.

Best Ugandan Company in the UK by a mile. I have used the Upton Lane Branch for several years and my items always arrive intact.
Customer care in UK and office in Uganda is spot on.
Could not fault them.

I used them to ship my goods to Nairobi, worst experience ever. More than a month later and I am yet to receive my goods. They didn't seem to know exactly where my cargo was and were not helpful at all. Complete waste of money and time.

After using a company that never delivered my goods someone recommended Salabed. I have used them for the last 2 years and I have never regretted. My cargo has arrived my act. Even when I have sent it for relatives to pick up.They take great care to give it to the right person. Their customer service is great. I have also heard nice reviews from people who have used it (shipping personal goods to Uganda).
Goods arrived in good condition, recipient was contacted and I did not go through the hassle of clearing etc all included.
I would recommend it to others.
