Staff were great and were extra friendly. even gave me the time for a cup of tea and a chat when i went to the office to sign contracts. was made to feel really welcome which is something i have rarely come across from other estate agents i have dealt with. was a real pleasure an i will have no problems in recomending them to colleagues and friends. The worst estate agents I dealt with in all my years of renting in London. All charm and smarm when we were taking our money (also, when springing unexpected charges for everything at the last minute). But failed to sort anything out in the flat, which meant (amongst other things) we had no keys for the meters so had no gas or electricity for nearly two weeks. Refused point-blank to help, saying it wasn’t their problem. Indeed, this was the pattern for the entire time we rented – wouldn’t return calls, outright lied on occasion.

Had so many problems with the flat we moved out well before the end of the contract. At which point they became rude and downright aggressive. Told me to “f**k off” when I asked for my deposit to be returned. I lost well over £1000. These are the kind of people who give estate agents a bad name. Avoid. Seriously.
Response from Daniel Schultz Branch Manager
All of our charges are in the Pre Tenancy Agreement To Terms of which the tenant is asked to read and sign before they proceed.

I do not believe that any person, regardless whether they were our tenant or not, would be without utilities for more than a day. We are an agent for the landlord and we cannot rectify any problems without the landlords permission. If there are emergencies, for example no hot water, heating or a leak and we could not contact the landlord, only problems of this nature would we go ahead and rectify.

None of our staff would ever speak to customers or clients this way and they would be immediately dismissed if this was the case.

All deposits are registered with the government deposit schemes. Should the tenant dispute the proposed deductions the landlord/agent has to supply evidence of damages. It is not the landlord or agent or tenant that settles the dispute. It is the deposit scheme that decides. I can only imagine in this case, not knowing which property it is, the tenant did not pay their last months rent or severely damage the property.

An absolute nightmare to deal with. Unprofessional, immature and unhelpful staff. I have witnessed how they treat their potential customers, rudely and arrogantly.

They will smile and call your sir/ madam as they are taking your money, but be warned they will not bo so polite afterwards, don't expect them to return calls (at all) or turn up on time!
