I cannot believe this shop is still in business. waited in the freezing rain for an hour for shop to open after a puncture on way to work, guy arrived, my bike was in bits outside, he ignored me for 15 minutes before asking "what do actually want mate?" when I said I just needed an inner tube he refused to sell me one unless I paid him to fit it?!!!!! wtf?! said he didn't have enough in. do not use this shop.

Absolute disgrace of a shop. Sexist, rude and condescending. I know about bikes and these people do not. They fail at every level.

I've been taking my road bike to s&s for about 5 years. The blokes in the store are great, Have a good laugh in there with them, nice and friendly and never have any problems when i get my bike back. Will always go down to the shop any time i need repairs. We even bought our sons first bike from them and got a special deal. Top Shop!

Oh get over yourselves. It's a bike shop not a crystal therapy holistic massage parlour. Anyway I like 'em.

I've used this shop for three years and never once had bad service.

As one of the other reviews said: " Rude and condescending" Couldn't have put it better. by far the worst customer experience and service I have ever witnessed. on top of that, the part I bought ended up snapping off the minute I tried to install it on to my bike. I live local and have been on a bike for many years; I have only set foot two times into this shop, and regret it each time.

I went to this shop to have my brakes changed. I had to wait several weeks and come back every two days to the store to ask if the part I needed for my bike had arrived. The two men who hold the store would never had taken my number and called me to tell me that the part was arrived.
In the end I paid 35£ to have my brakes changed, and it was really not well done. my bicyle could hardly brake one week after that.
Not to mention the fact that the guys who hold that store speak to you like you are an idiot because they probably think their knowledge of repairing bicycles is so impressive.

Avoid that place at any cost !

It is true that these guys are not the warmest straight away, but they're actually very good. If you want wide range, advice for the newbie, etc; definitely go to On Your Bike London Bridge. However, these guys are very friendly once you break through the ice, and have just serviced my Marin Belvedere. I am a bike commuter, Chris Hoy I ain't, but this is the best £30 I have ever spent. It's better than brand new. They're not going to win any friendliness contests, but if you need your bike sorting, they're the dogs danglies

Rude and condescending, not to mention a complete rip off and not ashamed of it.

I have tried to buy sundries from this shop twice, and won't be going back a third time. The staff look completely uninterested in serving you, and are incredibly unhelpful. Avoid this shop!

After my last review 26/12/09 the shop was shut! Went back after the holidays on 03/01/10 and asked for the Female adult bike with lights and to conform to current road safety regulations. 'Please come back in an hour' They built the bike. added the lights checked it over and it was £70.00 under budget. 'bring it back in six to eight weeks for a free service' My daughter loves it and when asked on 14/01/10 "are there any problems I need to let the shop know about on the free service?" she said "No, it's like new" and it has been used every day in snow and rain to go to school. She would like a rear mud guard to stop the water going up her back and you cannot fit a water bottle to this bike (advised by the shop) You get what you ask for at this shop and if it is not possible they will let you know instead of selling something that will not fit or work. I have yet to take it back for the free service and see what happens then. Watch this space......

I am about to find out what S & S Cycles can do for me! Want an adult female Bike for my daughter to stop her using mine. Bicycle that is road worthy, Has front, back and wheel reflectors and a bell as standard. Comfortable to ride and will buy the lights as extra. about £200.00 watch this space.
