A few weeks ago I finally used my Groupon voucher after 4 months of trying to book an appointment, I know that they do not allocate much availabilty of the voucher so even though I was frustrated I thought this was a small compromise for getting a good deal, however I don't think I have ever left a hairdressers so disappointed! The person that applied the treatment was the junior hairwasher who managed to do the whole treatment within an hour applying the tiniest amount of keratine I have ever seen. I have had keratine applied at least 5 times and I know that it takes closer to 3 hours to apply and straighten the hair properly, this was obviously a rush job to get me in and out as soon as possible and consequently the treatment has had no effect on my hair whatsoever. I was then asked if I wanted a cut, the cut was performed by somebody who would obviously rather be doing anything else then cut my hair and he proceeded to cut my hair with the fan still on from the treatment which was blowing my hair in different directions so my hair is completely different lengths all round ( the cut was finished in less then 10 minutes)

I would assume that the point of the vouchers are to drive business through customers having a brilliant experience and then recommending the salon to friends and family, if that was your aim then they have completely failed. If everybody experienced the same as me then I can't see how this could happen.

I found all the staff could not be bothered - apart from the receptionist who was the only one who was happy to do her job. As I said this is the worst experience I have ever had at a hairdressers the voucher was supposed to entitle me to a service which normally costs £265!

I also wrote a letter of complaint and I have had no response, worst hairdressers in london!

I would give 0 if I could, what an appalling attitude, the Westfield Salaon, and manager James has.

This is my complaint email sent to Groupon I tried to send it to [email protected] but it came back as their mailbox was full or closed, probably due to being inundated with complaints.

Dear Groupon & (for attention of Keith Warner of Ginger Group Head Office)

I am writing to complain about my experience of trying to redeem my Groupon voucher, with the Ginger Group, which was for two people at a total value of £175 to be used at the Westfield branch as specified in the advertised deal.

As per the instructions on the voucher I spent a whole week trying to get through to one of the five mobile numbers printed on the voucher as per the instructions, however all the numbers were either disconnected or would go through to a voicemail.

On your advice we then contacted the Westfield Salon directly, and they gave us a date for the 12th Nov 2010 at 12pm as their salon diary was empty that day.

However when I called back to confirm on the 18th Oct 2010, the Manager James speaking in the background, instructed the receptionist, to tell the person calling, that as the customer was calling regarding a Group-On voucher booking, she should now inform them that they were fully booked until Feb.

I then explained that they obviously were not fully booked as they had already booked us in on the 12th Nov 2010, they said well for Groupon customers they are fully booked. The general attitude and tone was very poor and derogatory, like Group-on customers were to be treated differently/looked down upon, which is an appalling attitude to have and project.

I then tried to book something in, and they eventually offered a Wednesday appointment, as we were told Groupon customers could not be given Friday appointments. Thus we provisionally took the earliest appointment available, on the 2nd Feb, even though this is 5 months away almost and the earliest, and very in
