I visited this salon for the first time this week, and I have to say it's one of the best salons in London. No pretentious conversations, you get a great haircut with a fabulous atmosphere and great service, all for half the price you would pay in central London. I can recommend Cedric, a charming, talented and very sexy hairdresser. I am definitely going back. :0)

I had my hair highlighted and cut at clapham last night and it looks amazing. The salon is friendly, relaxed with great hair advice especially for battling those grey hairs. I was offered the full array of drinks from water to wine along with delicious biscuits and every magazine you would want. A great hair wash and massage and I feel like a new woman.

One of my friends recommended me to come to the Witches Hut as she goes to the one in Clapham, and as the salon in Balham is closer to me I thought I'd give it a go. I was not disappointed in the slightest. The staff are very attentive, the salon looks nice and they even have a bar at the back! They offered me lots of different drinks from your usual coffees and teas, to beer, wine and even cocktails! The prices are very reasonable for what you're getting, I paid £50 for my cut and blow-dry with Irina, but the prices start at £35. Irina was amazing; highly recommend salon!

I would not recommend this salon to a friend. The staff were squabbling amongst one another & the lady who did my hair was snooty & heavy handed!

I was recommended to go to Witches Hut by my house mate who has been going there for 3 years. I have recently moved to London and my last two hair experiences from two independent salons which was horrific. My hair was in a bad state in regards to colour bands from the previous salons so I was a bit worried on how/if they would be able to fix it. From the second I walked into the salon, I was completely at ease. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly. They took my coat and offered me a drink and magazine. All the magazines were new (not like at other salons and some magazines can be years old). Sussan was lovely! Extremely professional and offered constructive and helpful advice. She didn't try and sell me products like they normally do, but simply told me that if I was interested in anything in particular, she would be happy to show me. She looked after me from start to finish. She would check my hair every 10 minutes and always make sure I was comfortable and happy. I would recommend this salon to everyone.

Having just moved to the area, I thought I'd try this place based on the good reviews. However it didn't meet my expectations. Arrived and lady behind desk didn't seem too interested - did not offer to take my coat or offer a drink. They were running a little late when I was the only customer. I had a hair wash which was incredibly rough, however the massage at the end was very nice but did not last long enough! The hairdresser was good, she offered advice and was friendly. Nevertheless she was very heavy handed when cutting my hair, often pulling at my hair, kept brushing hard on my ear, caught my tiny earring at one point. I wasn't entirely happy with my fringe cut, did not follow my instructions to have it curved at edges. The atmosphere is good, music is not too loud and it's not too hectic. I'm going to try out a few more places before going back there

I've been going to the Witches Hut for a few months now, and every time I go the experience is fantastic ! I've had it cut with a few people now, and each time I leave I am extremely pleased with the result.

This place is child-friendly (as I've seen other people come in with their children) and pet-friendly (the resident dog, Hector!) as everyone is more than happy to accommodate them both, keeping them entertained etc.

Plenty of free booze, loads of mags, and great music. Highly recommended !!!

I have been going to the witches hut for several years now. Throughout this time I have had different stylists but I am always happy with how my hair turns out! I have never had a bad experience here and i love the relaxed atmosphere and the sofas you get to sit on while you wait! The staff are always friendly and happy, the prices are very reasonable and i get what i ask for! Would definately recommend!

I went to witches hut last night and it took more than two hours for a simple semi-permant colour. I was told that I would have the colour on the roots for 20 mins and then 10 minutes for the ends. There was no one available to wash my hair after 10 mins so I waited 25 minutes! The girl who washed my hair had no idea, she had the water pressure on so high that it splashed all over my face and even into my eye. At the end of the wash she was scrubbing my cheek because there were marks on my face. Also the water had completely drenched my back. I asked her to stop when she was pulling a comb threw my hair because it actually hurt and I could see my hair falling out. I asked to speak to the manager after and explained that I had hair dye splashed into my eye and I also showed him how saturated my back was. All he offered me was a discount on my next cut. I told him not to bother that I would never be coming back and I paid the full price. I may have gone back if he had apologised and offered me a discount.

This is a great salon. I had my hair cut by Eric who did a great job and listed to what I wanted and made some reccomendations based on his experience and knowledge of my hair type. Very happy with the results and it was a nice experience.
