Have to agree with the reviewer who said St. Clements actually makes me want to go to the dentist! Really nice, caring staff and nice facilities. I have been very happy with all the services I have received. Lucie always takes the time to explain things, answer questions and make sure you feel comfortable. They are also open early and late and scheduling appointments is easy.

I had not been to the dentist in 5 years. This place actually makes me WANT to go more often. I visited both branches and saw more than one dentist for my general check up, cleaning, fillings, taking a tooth out L and cleaning again (they asked if I would like to see the same one but I said I did not mind). The staff there are all very pleasant and someone called me the day after they took my tooth out to see if I was in pain or discomfort – amazing! My last dentist (5 years ago) was grumpy, the staff barked at me and made me want to run out as soon as I walked in and smelt the place. I thought ALL dentists were like that but I was wrong. I will have regular check ups and cleans from now on because it made me feel soooo goooooood! I’m addicted to having my teeth cleaned. I had them whitened too. I feel like a movie star!

Unlike any other dental practice (and believe me, I've been to many of them), coming to St Clements is like coming home - people there genuinely care about you!!! I am so privileged to have found John at St Clements, who in my opinion is the best dentist in the whole world! Let me explain: First of all, he really cares about your teeth and nothing is too much trouble for him! Even when he is busy, he always finds time to listen and to offer the best advice he can. My teeth were never great, let's be honest, and thanks to others 'experts', I already lost a few - but John will try every possible treatment so 'tooth extraction' is never an option! And I think, this is a kind of dentist everyone should have! My advice - go and give it a try!

I am sorry to say that this was the worst healthcare experience I have had in my life - and I have had the misfortune of having had a few. After having called the practice twice that day to apologise and tell them that I would be late due to personal circumstances beyond my control, and enquire as to whether they wished to cancel the appointment (to which they said no), I arrived 30 minutes after the initial appointment time.

On my arrival I was immediately confronted by an aggressive man at the counter (who later told me he was the 'owner and dentist John O'dea'). I identified myself and before I could even take breath to speak Mr O'dea began screaming at me in front of waiting room of patients. He told me that I was the reason that he had needed to get out of bed early that morning and that he 'was sick of dealing with people like me'. As I was unsure whether he was referring to my ethnicity or the fact that I was wearing a suit or anything else, I asked him to clarify exactly what he meant by 'people like me'. Shaking with rage he simply stared at me and then mumbled that he couldn't clarify. As if this was not enough he then barked at me, still in front of a bemused waiting room, to explain to him exactly what were the personal reasons beyond my control that had caused me to be late. I told him I would not.

He then once more began berating me, before telling me, 'in fact I actually refuse to treat people like you' (that term again), and walked off. I really had nothing left to do but leave, humiliated.

I really just wanted to find a good dentist for a procedure that I was already slightly daunted by. Instead I found an unjustifiable barrage of prejudice and abuse.

St Clements has a lovely bright waiting area where you can calmly watch the world go by. John is one of the kindest and most gentle dentists I’ve ever come across, and funny too. It makes visiting the dentist fun (almost)! It takes years to find a dentist you can trust and I am definitely sticking to this one.
