Abysmal service!

They cancelled twice, and eventually when they did turn up it was with the wrong part. Ways to improve: Be punctual. If you are to cancel let the customer know well in advance and not after keeping them waiting for the whole day. Show respect for the customers time!

The customer service was arrogant and uncooperative. Ways to improve: Listen to the customer! We had been told the repair will be done by Friday but even by the following Friday the repair was still pending after repeated calls to implore speedy service. A little understanding from the customer service people would have alleviated the situation.

Once they take your £25 deposit they effectively have you at a ransom .. knowing that you will take what ever shoddy service they provide. Lesson - be less arrogant and more cooperative. Make the £25 reimbursable if service isnt delivered within a reasonable time.

We requested advice on repairing our Pulsecoil water heater system, which they first suggested we repaired rather than replaced. 6 visits from various team members (over 3 weeks) later, the cost of the repair has been £2,000, which they have now advised should rather have been replaced as it will only last one more year or so.

Every time they indicated a time slot for a visit, they were late - this morning they arrived 2 hours AFTER the allotted time slot.

We will be sure to never use C Anderson again and would not recommend them.

Had a blocked kitchen sink which no amount of plunging could sort out it seemed - Anderson and Sons came the next morning, were flexible to fit in with our working hours, and were efficient in clearing the blockage within a hour. Friendly and professional service, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

For me instructing a company to refurbish my bathroom could have been a traumatic experience as I suffer from OCD and I am very, very particular! But I did not have to worry for a second with the team at C Anderson & Sons as nothing was too much trouble and every single minute detail was executed and finished to perfection, from the tiling to the installation of a new sink and shower to the ordering and installation of a bespoke glass shower wall, all working perfectly and looking stunning! I will be inviting them back to install my second bathroom downstairs - Excellent :)

job done over budget but its ok. what annoyed me was that they didnt come twice and informed me the last minute about the cancellations. i had to take time off from work, when i complaint to the manager he didnt care and blamed the engineers !!! would have been nice if he tried to keep me as a customer by offering a small goodwill gesture but nothing happened.

Bad customer services. needs serious improving.

C Anderson & Sons went out of their way to help us this week. We discovered a leaking mains water pipe on Sunday night and we had a very nice chap there at 10am the next morning fixing the problem.

Their communication and quality of workmanship is really excellent. They rectified the fault with the minimum of fuss and damage to the rest of the flooring helping us avoid even more costs to replace our lovely floorboard.

I'd recommend them without hesitation... very reasonable but high quality.

Spent nearly £3000 on a new boiler installation and some extra work which they claimed had to be done in order to get the new boiler to work. Ok no issues.

They cancelled 2 appointments in the last minute which i found very unprofessional. I took time off from work and lost money (i am an IT contractor), asked for a call back from a manager, nobody called. i called & Managed to speak to a senior person in the business, didnt really care. If they had offered me a very small discount for the inconvenience and loss of a days income i would have felt like a valued customer and use them again.

Was charged over £1k to fix a blocked bathroom sink and re-tile behind. Then charged £300 for materials - a piece of pipe, some concrete and grout (I had the tiles already). Was told they would only do the job if I gave credit card details in advance.
Has taken me 3 months to obtain a refund for half the materials cost and they have refused to ever give me a breakdown. Defensive at every turn - would not use them again. Obviously spend all the extra cash on their branded vans!

Very poor experience with this company. Will not use them again. I was having constant blockages in my toilet, they suggested there was not enough incline in the waste pipe and needed to raise it. In the end they raised it 2mm which wasnt enough, charged me 2k, and left a hole in plasterboard wall. Blockages came back, nothing was fixed. Literally 2k down the drain. When i called back to complain they said i needed to pay another 2k for scaffolding in order to have another inspection of the exterior wall. Got fed up and got another opinion, job was done in 3 hours for gbp 400 by another firm

Great service throughout from the initial phone call to the call out - despite my appointment time being moved once they were quick to inform me (before the day of the appointment) and very apologetic about it.....eh i understand schedules over run so appreciated they notified me well before hand. Great company and will be using them again!

Booked in for a plumber to fix a water leak. He found the problem in under five minutes but gave excuses for why he couldn't fix it (he couldn't get parts the same day, he couldn't 'guarantee' the work). Recommended that I pay for three hours labour plus materials to get it 'properly' fixed. He was out the door 5 minutes later. Complained to them and suddenly they get all defensive.

Got a different plumber in, problem sorted in 20 mins, no questions, no excuses.

I would not recommend this business.

This company looks slick but is actually pretty slack. nOt recommended at all.
We handed over nearly £5000 for 2 relatively simple plumbing and decoration jobs to be done in 2 days. 2 weeks later the job was finished to a very low standard which required us to get it altered again by someone else. Not to mention messing our tenants around.

They took money from our accounts without warning or permission and were very uncommunicative and unapologetic when approached with the problems.
They left a mess everywhere and broke some fixtures and fittings which they did not admit to untl challeng

The price you pay for materials relating to repair work through this company is too high, I paid nearly 3 times the price for standard materials, a heavy mark-up!

When questioned the manager got very defensive, not a good sign!

Didn't leave me feeling very pleased, won't be using Anderson & son's again for this reason.

Over the recent cold spell i was experiencing severe problems with both my hot water & central heating. I knew i had not the most efficient central system or boiler but after another firm had attended (not going to name names but another SW6 firm!) they had completely misdiagnosed and left me with worse problems than before!
Anderson & Sons were very quick to respond, knowledgeable about the problems and swift with a solution and through to the end of the job. They left my place spotless and left me with a smile as i had working hot water & central heating again! The engineer was polite and charming and the office staff liaised precisely to my requirements. Very good service and i have already recommended them to others. A big thank you to Anderson & Sons.

I was very surprised to see that Anderson & sons, the plumbing company, had received some terrible reviews from upset clients on this web-site and therefore feel obliged to say something on behalf on Andersons & sons so they may not be so discriminated.
I have been using Anderson & sons plumbing for several years now and I must admit that I have never had any problems with them. The service has always been to a very respectable standard and the help and efficiency of this company has been equal to service that has been provided over the years.
Over the phone they have very helpful people at hand and the servicemen that they send out have always been very professional, and most importantly honest in their pricing of the different jobs that they have done for me.
I would most certainly encourage others to use Anderson & sons, as I believe that they are a very respectable company.

As a regular customer of C Anderson & Sons I was quite shocked to see the negative reviews on this site.
I can only assume the reason for this must be rival companys attempting to tarnish their reputation !
I have been a landlord for the past 10 years and have used C Anderson & Sons on many occasions for jobs both big and small and have never been anything less than 100 per cent satisfied with the quality of work. On top of that they have always been prompt, friendly and willing to go the extra mile to meet the exacting standards I have come to expect of them.

Don't normally leave reviews on websites but had to spread the word about the service I received. I recently had a breakdown with my boiler and was left freezing cold at my whits end, not knowing who to call. Thankfully I found C Anderson & Sons and really appreciated the service I received. At the outset I was able to speak to a very helpful and knowledgeable member of the office staff. She was able to keep me informed about when a plumber was due to attend as it was the weekend and I didn't want to be sitting indoors all weekend.

On arrival the plumber was polite and efficient, able to find the fault within 20minutes of arrival. Great result, heating back on, reasonable price. Happy days!

I have recommended C Anderson & Sons to all my friends & family and all have confirmed they are the most reliable and reasonable priced plumbers they have come across!

I was really concerned when I read the reviews on this site. It is really difficult to find companies you can trust and are reliable. When reading reviews on the internet you don't always know what to believe. I went with my gut reaction and asked C Anderson & Sons to complete refurbishment work on my home. I am extremely glad that I did as they have done a fantastic job and made the process stress free.

Excellent service from the first contact with the office and every member of staff that I have spoken to since. I have had a substantial amount of work done in my home including a new bathroom, painting/decorating in every room, new electrics and loads more! All the work has been completed to a high standard and I have been kept informed at every stage. I added many additions along the way as I have been so impressed with the service and quality of work. My additions were planned into the schedule and completed on time. Most importantly for me, I felt my home was in safe hands when I wasn’t there and everything was left clean and tidy. I have more work that I want doing and I will be back in touch with C Andersons & Sons for this.

Thank you to everyone at C Andersons & Sons for transforming my flat into a fantastic home and making the process easy and stress free.

Boiler broke down and with winter coming I was really worried: C. Anderson & Sons came out promptly, fixed the damn thing and charged me a very reasonable amount that left me shocked at some of the other prices I was quoted by other companies.

Very Good job, would recommend them to anyone.

I had a dripping tap and another that wouldn't open. The plumber claimed he could get the tap off to fix the dripping and I would therfore need a new pair of taps. On the other tap, he claimed the spindle was broken and therefore I would need a new pair of taps. I, foolishly accepted this as long as the taps were there same style. He took a £50 deposit plus the hourly fee - £140 in all and left without fixing the problem. He turned up the next day with one set of taps which were nothing like my current taps. On the upstairs taps, he calimed he could not get any suitable taps and therefore I would need a new basin. At this point I told him to get out. I called another (reputable) plumber who fixed both taps within 15 mins (they both needed a new washer). The reputable plumber charged me the minimum fee and no charges for parts.
I went round to the Fulham offices of C Anderson & Sons and demanded my money back. The owner of the business was not the least bit surprised nor embarrassed, nor did he say he would speak to the person involved. I only got me money back by being extremely persistent. It was this latter experience that led me to believe that this is not just a case of one dishonest plumber. There appears to be a culture of dishonesty in the firm.
If you are thinking of using this firm, please draw your own conclusions on the above story. If I could give zero stars I would.

If I could give these guys 0 stars I would, I called them out to unblock a drain they quoted me 90 pounds an hour to fix it with no call out fee. As it was late in the day they took my card details in case I requested them to do any work once they had looked at the job and given me a final quote. When they got to the job they did not have the tools to fix it and quoted me 180 pounds an hour and told me it was a three to four hour job! I declined the service and got another plumber to fix the problem in 20 minutes at a fraction of the price they quoted. Not content with trying to cheat me on the quote they then debited my card for 90 pounds for their plumbers time despite promising no call out fee. I have had to report this as card fraud to my bank as they took a payment without my knowledge and consent, I am still trying to get a refund! Being a professional landlord I have had dealings with lots of trade companies and I can honestly say these are the worst I have ever met. Avoid at all costs.

I am NOT a rival firm. In addition to the disasters associated with the boiler installation, I have also been trying to get a Gas Safety Compliance Certificate from them. Not only are they not sending it through, but I can't get them to return my phone calls.

C Anderson and Sons installed a new boiler for me about 5 years ago and regularly serviced it. Unfortunately, it continued to leak. When they came recently to try to fix it, they told me I needed to replace it. What should have take a couple of days took a week. The plumber broke the pump (which they had also installed 5 years ago), he also wrongly wired it to the security system and set off the alarm. We had to spend 5 hours with the alarm going off waiting for an engineer to turn it off. The alarm company charged £90 for the call out which I expected to get reimbursed from C Anderson as it was their fault. They were very quick to charge my credit card and still have not refunded the cost of the alarm engineer or apologised for their horrible workmanship. MY CAT WOULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB!

They are a terrible company to do business with. They clearly never serviced the original boiler that they installed properly which is why I needed a new one 5 years later. For your own sanity and savings -- STEER CLEAR OF THESE COWBOYS!!!!!

I am not a rival company but a local Fulham resident. C Anderson are good at their job but not very good at after service. I have been trying to get them to confirm some details to my insurance company so that I can get £1,500 back. I have left 4 messages, they are refusing to call me back. They were good in getting touch when they needed payment but completely ignoring me when I need their assistance. I probably will not use them again.

Feel the need to mention the other three reviews are fake and from a rival firm and this is backed up & obvious if you look at the dates of review and the fact it was left by all the same reviewer is dubious! Dont let it put you off though!
This company was very effecient, reasonable and honest.
Very Impressed with the service received right through from the office staff, who kept me up-to-date and informed at all times to the engineer who attended, Richard i think his name was, very polite, effecient with his work, cleaned up after himself and resolved the problems with minimum fuss......unlike the previous compnaies used!
A big thank you to all the team and will definately be reccommneding the company to all friends and family!

we telephoned andersons for an hourly quote to service our gas boiler and replace a fan - we know enough to know that this can be done at the same time and that once the boiler is opened it will take a minute or two to change the fan. we were given a quote for the hourly cost which we accepted. but when the plumber arrived he said that they were two separate jobs - an extra £70 - even though i was watching and the fan was in fact swapped over in a couple of minutes. he said that servicing a boiler was a separate thing even though it happens as part of the same thing.

Very rude staff member in the office and misquoted by him massively. Ended up paying £300+ more than orginally quoted and had to call the engineer back to finish off the job as he forgot to take pipes out. I would also give this company a very wide birth. If you do try to take up a query you will be met by a very aggressive manner.

They were quick to come out but now im left with cracked floorboards and a big hole in my pocket.

Failed to diagnose the initial problem with boiler and created additional problems due to this, then refused to correct the ones i believe they created. took almost 3 weeks and several engineers to get the system back to some degree of working order, but no where near as good as before. wouldnt mind so much but for the fact that the original fault was relatively minor. So considering how much they charge, and given the fact C. anderson were the ones that installed the system in the first place I will be giving them the wide birth in future.
