Sadly we called in here for a 'real Italian coffee'; we got attitude, could week coffee and an abrasive staff member who wasn't in the mood to offer an explanation or apology.
The are better places to go; i am not convinced Mr D'acampo would be thrilled to know what is being done in his name.

Overpriced rip off!
£6.50 for a box of pasta when it used to be £4.95.
Just a con now and and a place best avoided.
Shame as the staff are nice and the previous prices were fine.
Not anymore.

Staff are of McDonalds calibre, very negative and seemed confused.

The quality of the food is slightly worse than your average Iceland microwave meal- pasta was hard, bland, and very stingy with ingredients. My friend ordered smoked salmon pasta which came as prawn and carrot, when I complained they told me they don't sell prawn pasta but then replaced it with salmon pasta that was not smoked salmon at all, and again, hardly any in salmon it.

Also, try eating tagliatelle with a cheap plastic fork!

A novice can make a nice pasta, but somehow this place manages to completely mess it up

really Really wanted to like Ginos after 4 times I can safely say 'No More'. First time I ordered the polpette it tasted ok. Went back for a 2nd time ordered the same tasted bland. 3rd time ordered the salmon pasta dish with penne my penne was so hard I had to throw it away, there was hardly any salmon, but sauce was good. Today was the last time I'll ever go, ordered salmon again since I liked the sauce, but this time it was nothing like the last time, the sauce was bland my pasta was perfectly cooked, but again hardly any salmon. No consistency with Gino's will not be going back in a hu

Popped in in Dec for a quick bite to eat. Thought the food (pesto spaghetti) was superb. Possibly a tad expensive for lunch, but much cheaper than a Jamie or similar. Surprised at the bad reviews. Both myself and my colleague who ate with me loved it. Will be back

Really not impressed! I've just ordered a pasta meal with chicken. I'm still hunting for the tiny bits of chicken amongst my mound of pasta with average tasting sauce. The prices are higher than other places and yet the food isn't as good as it should be. Also, once a customer has paid they then have to wait for 5 mins at 'collection point A' for the meal. I feel like it's an Italian version of Argos!! Too many people eager to serve you at the tills whilst a few grumpy looking chefs put the pasta in boxes. Not an experience I'd want to repeat!! Check out your competition which is much b

Hi My Pasta Bar,
Not bad, but was expecting more to be fair.
Food fair, service fair. However due to celebrity chef
Status you would expect a lot more.

I'm not terribly impressed with this restaurant.
It seems that the emphasis is on pasta and the
rest of the menu was an after thought. The Salads are
nothing special. The baguettes, well I can safely that
I've had better from a petrol garage...

Please avoid at all costs. This place is really bad. My experience of the Pasta bar was with a couple of friends this week Wednesday. One friend bought a salad and paid at the till by the door, we had to pay at the counter tills as we bought pasta. Well they can certainly improve on the waiting times. 4 mins after ordering and then the best bit is we were given somebody else's pasta...To cap it off a guy in a suit came over to help and whilst talking it was apparent he didn't have a clue about pasta. He was supposedly senior management. NOTE to Gino, get some experienced management.

I have to say that my initial reaction was very positive when I visited back in August. Not sure what has changed since but my last two experiences were very bad indeed. The staff look jittery and all over the place. Sorry to say but some do not understand english. There is a guy who lurks about in the shop. I'm not sure what his role is but he hasn't got a clue!
It's a shame because the place looks great, but management is VERY poor...I'll stick to the other options on Fleet St. And as regards to any roll out plans, unless you sort out this one first forget it.

My first visit this morning (there will be no more). Took "Pane Rustico al Pollo" - supposed to have "mixed leaf salad" - only had two fragments of limp lettuce; supposed to have "honey mustard dressing" - there was no dressing at all! This was the driest, most tasteless food I have had in a long time. How pretentious to write all descriptions in Italian, with Engish in tiny font underneath (I had to put on my glasses). Fruit stall is open and near to the road! The checkout girl had the nasty habit of putting my change on top of the receipt so I had to fumble to get my change into my p

Please please Please don't pretend to be something you are not! The place looks great but that's the best I can say about it. It took staff two attempts to get my order right, but by then I had lost interest after treking along Fleet St a couple of times during lunch. Fancy cold pasta anyone???

This is the most authentic, original looking eaterie
In London. Some really good genuine Italian products
To buy. The food is fantastic. I walk from Holborn
Twice a week to eat here. Def worth the walk.
I even bumped into Gino D' Acampo in the shop!
Did you hear that Jamie...
Guys I hear you have a rollout plan. Anything in
Holborn being planned?
One minus; the music, why does it stop so often???
Response from David Mackay Director of Operations
Malcolm,

Many thanks for your kind comments.

Yes we do have an ambitious roll out plan and Holborn is definitely on our radar! Our website will provide updates on new openings.

I have noticed the same thing with the music stopping! This comes via the internet and sometimes the connection is a bit flakey! I will ask BT to have look at this for us.

Once again, thank you for your valuable feedback!
