A good haircut, but terrible service! To begin with, the girl who gave me the head massage and who washed my hair and applied the treatment seemed to be new and didn't really know what she was doing. I don't think it was her fault, she just didn't seem to have been thoroughly trained. At one point when she was washing my hair, one of the stylists yelled over at her that she wasn't doing it right because she hadn't wet my hair enough. Someone else came over and told her very quickly how to apply the treatment, but I could tell when she was doing it that she wasn't following his instructions. Not really her fault...but still...

The real problem was with the stylist who cut my hair. He never introduced himself to me, and his manner was very brusque. When I was sitting at the sink with the treatment in my hair, he came over and pulled the towel off my head with no warning and rinsed my hair very roughly. Then he started cutting my hair very quickly. It really didn't seem like he was taking the necessary time over it. Also, I had brought in a photo of the style I wanted, and I asked him before he started cutting whether it would need to be blow dried or whether I could just air dry it and still have it look like the photo. He told me I wouldn't need to blow dry it. Then, after he had cut it, he started taking a lot of time blow drying it with a round brush. He asked me, "Do you blow dry your hair?" and when I said, "No," he gave me an incredulous look and said, "Well, at least it will look better than it did before."

I left the salon feeling harassed, instead of pampered.

That said, I think the cut is pretty good. I haven't tried washing it at home yet, though, so I don't know whether it will still look good when it hasn't been professionally styled.

Do try the fabulous head massage - all 45 seconds of it. No-one in their right mind would pay good money for the service here. The hair cut was ok except my friend's tacky hair cut took three times as long to blow dry as the cut took. Which do you think is more important, the cut or the dry?

The make up had me flabberghasted. A touch of powder, some blusher and lip gloss from a pot used on other people. Have they not heard of hygeine requirements? When I questioned the promised makeup she said it's not a make over. Neither did I expect a makeover but this was pathetic.

This is what was advertised - Hmmm Doesn't that say makeover?
