I have used Days for the last few years to service my old racing bike. To say they are brilliant is to say the least!Bike has been running a blaze since. They are always polite and friendly, they don't require complicated bookings and charge you the fair amount. Simples. What a refreshing old-style bike shop, I have stopped using the extortionate franchises. Please don't ever change!

Days cycle has consistently been very good. I have had three bikes fixed by them. They do a good, quick, reliable fix on my bike. Hand in your bike, get an estimate. Come back when bike is ready - next day or day after and pay what they estimated.

Amazing service!! Had a puncture and went in first thing - fixed it in 5 minutes! I had an inner tube already and they just charged me £8 for labour - Evans Cycles would have charged me the extortionate price of £27.50 for the same job!! Massive love for Days Cycles!!

Great bespoke service. Much better than Evans who wanted to charge me £50 for a full service when all I wanted was my gears looked at and a wheel trued. They also said I would have to wait until some time the next day and were manned by two teenagers who seemed like they had never changed an inner tube and were just trying to sell me the most expensive service. Day's cycles is independent, local bike shop run by Mr Day who employs a full-time bike mechanic so you get a personal service and other tips (like what the best paint is for filling in small chips to the frame paintwork). Moreover Day's cycles charged me £15 and the bike was ready by the afternoon of the same day. Perfect for what I wanted. They also seem to have a regular clientele so they must be doing something right :D

I have known these guys for a long time. The rules are old fashioned and the service is old fashioned. If you go in with a brand new techy bike, looking for a cheap fix, you get what you deserve. For older bikes and simple jobs they are great and they never over charge. Its case of needing to judge a book by its cover and take these guys for what they are, (the antedote to Evans!).

Total farce from start to finish. Replaced a crank with a part that was totally incompatible causing the chain to break and further damage to the bottom bracket. He then claimed that none of it was his fault, I was ripping him off and no refund for work or compensation for damage! 2 other mechanics were shocked at what he had done. Frightening level of incomepetence.

A very helpful and friendly service. Though it is not my nearest bike shop I am willing to push my bike there for 30 min if neccessary because I know they will not turn me away, put me on a waiting list or overcharge me. I wish there were more shops like it.

Over the last 10 years I have taken my bike problems here, not regular but may be 6 or 7 times over the years, from a puncture (lazy!) to a full service or new saddle. Each time I get brilliant service and quick. And at a reasonable costs. I am just about to go and collect by bike which was in serious need of attention. The only problem at this shop is lack of storage space - I don't know how he does it! Amazing

I've never had a major problem with a bike to leave in here, but if I did this is where I would take it. Funnily enough, mainly because I think the guy who runs it is so fantastic. He knows his clients, he is kind, smiley and knowledgable. Good old fashioned local service, where he doesn't sped up looking after one client just to get to the next. You can stop in for air if you drop a few coins in the charity box and be confident that the things you buy from him are good quality. Quite surprised to see the other review on here -

The chap who runs this shop is astonishingly rude.

I have had a puncture fixed there, and won't be using the shop again.

Dreadful.
