Had an appointment with Joanna last Saturday who helped my daughter choose her dream wedding dress.
Joanna was amazing; such a wonderful lady who gave us remarkable service and was both friendly and professional.
My daughters and I had such an enjoyable experience and purchased a beautiful dress !! Thank you

Having visited 6 London bridal shops looking for a wedding dress, I was really impressed with mirror mirror, especially with friendly and creative shop assistant Becca and would highly recommend. I visited twice and really enjoyed it. The shop is gorgeous, with a wide range of stunning dresses. Becca put me in a fantastic corset which made the dresses look great and really listened to what I wanted. Ultimately, I bought a dress elsewhere, but will be returning to Mirror Mirror for accessories and underwear.

I was nearly put off by bad reviews, so I just wanted to say that I had a brilliant appointment here yesterday, with Becca. I can't vouch for how good MM are as suppliers as I've decided on a dress from somewhere else, but Becca had an amazing eye for the sort of thing I was looking for, was very funny and put me (and mum) at ease. She did a supreme job at picking out dresses and accessories that looked beautiful on me. It was a brilliant experience.

The only negative would be the woman who answered the door, who was brusque to the point of rudeness. But the appointment itself was wonderf

1) They should be very upfront with costs (tailoring etc) BEFORE you pay the deposit
2) They should have more hours available for fittings - 9 to 5 is not feasible for many people
3) They should be nice to customers even AFTER they've paid.
4) For reference, I spent £654 on tailoring costs

Pros:
- Andrea who does the alterations is amazing.
- They know what they are talking about and know what will work for you and what won't. If you know what you want, that is great but I'd listen to them as you never know what they may pick out for you. Remember, they are the experts and know more about wedding dresses than you do – you know you and they will listen to that but they have good ideas that are worth considering.
- Reasonable. I did at least ten shops and they were in line with other shops in terms of price.
- They are a boutique service – please remember that (this comes with pros and cons, but in the end I found this 9 times out of 10 to be a pro)

Cons:
- A bit scrappy at times with their organisation but it is a family run business not a big department store
- Bad reviews from others – these nearly turned me off buying from MM. I'm really glad I didn't listen to those reviews.
- They didn't give me a receipt when I paid but then again I never asked. But when I did ask they sent it to me by email.

Once you part with your money, expect no more service!

I bought my Pronovias wedding dress at Mirror Mirror in Angel.
When I went to choose my wedding dress the service was fantastic. But when I went to pick it up it all changed.

I asked to try it on to see if the dress was ok, and if the size was correct. They said I could see the dress but by no means could I try it on, even though the shop had a couple of empty rooms that I very well could have used.
In the end, after a long argument and with tears on my face, I had to pay for the rest of my wedding dress and take it to a friends house to try it on there, knowing that if I found something wrong with it, it would be hard to get my money back. The dress was ok, it did have some minor stains, loose strings and was very wrinkled, but nothing too bad.
These are small things that you notice only once you have tried it on.

I am quite upset that even when I paid a lot of money for a nice wedding dress in a reputable place, I was treated so badly and in a cruel manner, where instead of helping me they chose to lecture and upset me.

Thanks Mirror mirror for ruining what should have been a really happy moment.

my dream dress lives in this shop as i type!
all the staff there are more than helpful, they have squashed me in for appointments when its been urgent, even giving me an appointment after closing time! they're fab.
they measured me perfect, and the dress they ordered fitted perfect because of the skillful seamstress who took the measurement so i saved alot of money on alterations, they have amazing (even though slightly expensive) tiaras/veils/underwear/hair clips and pins, even shoes to try on!
during your appointment you are the only one they are interested in.. you and your dress! it makes you feel so special!
the shop is ultimate chic! i love it, and growing up in the area, I always used to look in the window at the amazing dresses, and now im going to be a mirror mirror bride too! :D

i cannot thank them enough!

My sister found her dream dress at this shop and we went to try it on for a second time after they agreed to sell her the sample.
However we were lied to by both the assistants a number of times ("Oh! the chances of this dress being tried on at all are slim" and then 10 minutes later "The dress will probably only be tried on 10 times)!! This was after they told us that we would have to wait till the end of July to actually receive the dress, even tiough we would pay for it !! and that it would be on the shop floor until then especially as it is their "top 10 best seller"- they just told us that the dress hardly gets tried on at all!!!
All this as well as having the unwritten contract revoked by being told that the owner no longer wanted to sell us the sample dress.
