After about an hour I got a beer and realised they had free wifi! this is a hidden gem that needs to be discovered.
I'll be back madame chi!

“I said I’d do it when I’d finished with this other stuff” and as my partner was walking back to our table the waitress added “because you’ve got everything you need, these other people don’t!”
Well, I’m sorry, but we clearly didn’t have everything we needed – we needed some ice otherwise we couldn’t even begin to enjoy our drink! – It would have taken 30 seconds to get more ice, but instead she left us sitting there staring at our warm bottle. Eventually a tiny bit more ice showed up and after another 15 minutes waiting for it to work the bottle was eventually drinkable.
Here’s the thing… I realize she was the only person working… I realize that they may have been low on ice but there is no excuse for being rude to people… in that position you’ve got to suck it up and apologize for there not being enough ice (what sort of a licensed venue doesn’t stock up on ice?), and let people know that you haven’t forgotten about their request - (If you served me dinner without any cuttlery, would you leave the customer sitting there staring at their dinner)
Groupon vouchers are used by companies to bring new customers to their business. Well, apart from the cost of my voucher, Madam Chi won’t be getting any more of my money. Instead the experience left me feeling compelled to write this online review (something I’ve never done before) and tell all my friends never to go near the place!
PS: The venue itself certainly didn’t impress. The ground floor seemed to be arranged strangely and at the back there were loads of chairs all piled up, which just looked like a mess.

I had purchased a Groupon voucher for a bottle of prosecco and some truffles to share with my partner. I had never been to the coffee shop before and so thought I’d take the opportunity to try it out.
As soon as I got there I could see another couple sitting with their truffles and bottle of prosecco in an ice bucket which appeared to be full of just water. I could hear the customer politely request some more ice, to which the waitress (the only member of staff apparently working that night) replied “yes” – the customer then said, “because we really can’t drink it like this” (fair enough as who likes warm fizz?!) but then I was quite shocked to hear the waitress say back to her “I said I was going to get more ice, what more do you want me to do!” – Hmmm, wrong attitude... and alarm bells began to ring.
I had been looking forward to a few crisp, ice-cold drinks and so when ordering our bottle I requested plenty of ice.
The bottle came and it was room temperature, sitting in some ice and water. The bottle had clearly been sitting on a shelf somewhere, not in a fridge, and so was undrinkable – we waited and waited, stirring the ice and trying to get the bottle cool but by the time most of the ice had melted the bottle and its contents were still warm. We asked for more ice and the waitress said that she would deal with us when she’d finished what she was doing (in an annoyed tone that implied we should have waited for her to finish what she was doing before asking her). After several minutes waiting it appeared that the waitress was now doing an order for somebody else and so we thought it would be fair enough to ask again… after all, we still hadn’t been able to have a sip of our drinks. When my partner asked if we could get more ice the waitress snapped back “I said I’d do it when I’d finished with this other stuff” and.... Cont.
