I don't like leaving one star reviews and I hope all this doesn't sound needlessly cruel, but I was quite unhappy with my experience here.

Lovely location but the standard of service was somewhat lacking. I ordered a cheese toastie and it came in a paper bag which was completely stuck to the melted cheese, which itself had all fallen out. The bread was soggy and I could barely remove it from the bag, let alone eat it. The counters were quite dusty and the cake display fridge had old icing stuck to the glass. In general I didn't think the kiosk looked all that clean.

My main issue was with the man acting as manager/supervisor. He had a very inhospitable attitude and it made for a cold and unfriendly atmosphere at the cafe. I approached the kiosk and rather than saying hello he stared at me with a straight face in silence until I asked for something. He had a thick accent and at one point I didn't quite catch something he said. Upon asking for him to repeat it he glared at me like I'd just slapped him in the face. He just seemed to be in a rotten mood, and his interaction with the young staff only affirmed that.

As I left I thought I'd try to be polite and went up to the kiosk to thank him. I wish I hadn't because he totally ignored me and instead was looking on his phone with a smirk on his face.

I feel like all this is constructive, because if I knew ahead of time that the service would be that way I wouldn't have gone. I also really didn't appreciate the attitude of the manager. Maybe just a bad day, or perhaps indicitative of something more commonplace. Either way I feel that's worth noting before you decide to visit.
