One day there will be a film called not 'Notting Hill' but 'Swains Lane'and you can say you've been there. This is a row of shops and cafes in Parliament Hill which is opposite Hampstead Heath. Kalendar was one and now expanded into two shops serving great varied food,drinks and coffee to a smart group of people. With lots of sheltered outdoor seating space (heated when needed) this is the place for people watching and reading the papers. Menu is large and of great quality. Breakfast all day or proper meals as you wish. Interestingly they use highest quality ingredients (Bacon, Eggs, Butter, Coffee etc) but do not labour this point.Great Management ensures this place works very well at all levels. Service is pleasent. Also here is Forks a cafe/food shop and Corks for wine. Further up Swains lane is Highgate Cemetery a major tourist destination, Waterlow Park which is all South facing and includes Lauderdale House Cafe and then Highgate Village at the top of the hill.
