Peter Acton

I go into Milou's fairly often for a drink and sometimes for a something to eat, usually some tappas or some olives. I have found the service to be prompt and both the owners and clientele friendly.
Outside you can enjoy your drink at tables and chairs while looking at magnificent views over London. This also makes for a most comfortable smoking area.
The prices are slightly above the average, but you do have to pay for quality.

My first experience of an evening at Milou's was when I had just moved into the area and brought the people who helped me move in for some thank you nibbles and drinks. The beer was great, tapas / nibbles were astonishingly overpriced and not very fresh.
I have been there for coffees on several occasions and they've been fine, also a couple of jerk chicken main courses at lunch have been tasty, but still a little overpriced.
The young waitress there is very pleasant and delivers a friendly, helpful service, unfortunately the owner and his wife are rude to the point of completely ignoring you if you do not go in very often, which is most unwelcoming.
I have played music there, received compliments from them at the time, then the next day be completely ignored when saying hello to either or both of them in the street.

Since having being diagnosed with Leukemia several years back I rarely drink, perhaps this is why I get snubbed by them for not drinking and hanging out in there. It can be most disconcerting as I only live 3 doors away.

Good luck to you in your business Milou's but I prefer friendlier service. Your attitude is to put it politely objectionable (young waitress excluded).
