All In London Review
Highly accomplished dishes with flavours from around the world
In the case of Australian-owned Brew, coffee isn’t the main selling point however, as its USP is the melting pot of world flavours on the menu, in particular Middle Eastern and Mediterranean. Also, their breakfast dishes are available all day, so if you fancy a plate of eggs benedict for dinner, you can have it.
We start with fat, crispy polenta chips with salt flakes and aioli, and sweet potato and smoky bacon croquettes with BBQ dipping sauce; both are delicious. The spiced lamb Scotch egg is made with very well-seasoned meat, while the rib eye steak in pide has caramelised onion and Persian feta, the proper sharp yet creamy stuff. On the side we order the treacle bacon, smoky and with just a little sweetness.
Everything is wholesome and homemade, including dessert - a wedge of spongy red velvet cake interspersed with thin layers of cream. The drinks menu is equally thoughtful, Meantime beer is available in frozen tankards, and wines include Picpoul de Pinet and Saint Veran by the glass. Most importantly, it’s clear that owner Jason Wells’ food is a labour of love, with highly accomplished versions of dishes he’s encountered on his travels across the world.

Brunch at Brew is the only way to spend a lazy Saturday! While I'm happily working my way through the ever changing menu I can recommend the Turkish Pide eggs as one of the tastiest dishes I've ever had. The red velvet cake is also just too tempting for words!
