The Salvation Army

Salvation Army in Garford street E14 8JG isn’t a place for Alchol abusers or drug abusers. I have a member of my family who has been there for 3 yrs. she is an alcoholic. Since being there her drinking has become a lot wo we. She has falllen in her room on a couple of occasions and been admitted to hospital. People who live in the hostel buy my cousin drink and they allow her boyfriend in her ho also brings her drink. When I have approached them on the concerns of my cousin they told me there not a dry house. I saw my cousin for the first time,it’s been ages due to covid. Her mother has recently passed away🙏🏽 So the family finally got to see her. I’m afraid it wasn’t good. My cousin has deteriorated so much since she’s been there it’s unbelievable to see. Now all we have to look forward to is when we feet the call she has passed away😭. I don’t think I would recommend anyone with alchol or drug abuse to the Salvation Army. If they can’t help these people then they should move them onto the right people, not watch them deteriorate under there watch and care.
