Stitches London Roman Road alteration shop is the worst alteration shop I have ever encountered in my life.

The staff were aggressive and rude. On Thursday, February 27, 2025, I gave them one of my tops for sleeve adjustments, with a promised delivery date of Tuesday, March 4, 2025. When I went to pick it up on my way to collect my daughter from school, I found out that they had forgotten to prepare my top. They asked me to return after 5 PM, but when I went back at 5:30 PM, the shop was closed. They later explained that they had closed early for Ramadan. If they were closing early, why did they tell me to come back after 5 PM?

The next day, March 5, 2025, around 12:30 PM, I returned to the shop to collect my top. However, the alteration work was poorly done; the stitches did not match, and there were old threads sticking out. I requested that they clean up the old threads, so I waited with my daughter. When they attempted to clean the old threads, the new stitches came out as well. After they restitched it, the stitches were still uneven and mismatched, and the old threads were not properly cleaned.

When I showed them the issues, a staff member asked me if I had ever done any alteration work myself, implying that I wouldn’t understand. He also said that if I wanted a clean job, it would cost more. After I had paid £15, one of the women in a hijab shouted from the back to give me my money back, as she put the top sleeves back to their previous condition. The man at the reception then told me not to return to their shop and to go to another high-street shop instead.

The staff were dismissive and argumentative. This experience was disappointing and reflected unprofessional business service. I did not expect such poor quality service and behavior from Stitches London Roman Road tailoring and alteration shop.

I do not recommend anyone visit this shop; it is not worth your time or money.
