Best For
London's finest furniture stores
Every home needs a bit of furniture (otherwise it's just, like, a box)
Old trusted John Lewis was always going to make our list for the best places to buy furniture in London, simply because we trust it. Maybe we shouldn’t after all that cash it spent on that Christmas ad, but we do. Also, it’s convenient; you’ll find dining tables, chairs, sofas, beds, desks and wardrobes all under one roof. Simple.
By Royal Appointment...
All these London businesses have the Royal seal of approval
We can exclusively reveal that the Queen gets Bucks Palace's curtains from John Lewis (possibly), as the store has had her Royal Madge's seal of approval since 2007. Britain's favourite department store is also one of the most egalitarian, as every single employee owns a share in the company and therefore get a percentage of its profits.

Last time I came I bought some Antler luggage, A Ralph Lauren jumper and a hairdryer - in the same store. Perfect shop, shame about butchering The Smiths on their advert last Christmas.

My wife and I always play "Who's the orangest?" as we walk past the make-up counters.
