All In London Review

Old-school reigns supreme

Liberty's is a beautiful, old-fashioned department store that sometimes feels like its been lifted out of a by-gone era and plonked down again in the 21st century. It's interior is flawless and everything is wonderfully presented across its floors (which are a perfect venue for a long drawn-out game of hide and seek!). The downside of this level of perfection and the quality goods on offer is predictably the price - nothing comes cheap in Liberty's and it's not the sort of place to go for an every-day bargain.

The price you pay does however earn you a great level of service in return. When a set of beads I'd bought got into the wrong hands recently - those of my baby daughter! - I had to send them back for repair. This was managed so well by Liberty's staff and they were returned back to me promptly, in one piece and without any charge!

London toilets with pazazz!

We've found some great places to spend a penny

For pure privacy the ground floor toilet at the back of the men’s shoe department is second to none. Tucked away from sight – and sound – the male and female toilets give you your own slice of the department store to do your business in peace. Plus if you’re a shoe freak, you can almost smell all that good leather wafting around the place!

London's finest furniture stores picture

London's finest furniture stores

Every home needs a bit of furniture (otherwise it's just, like, a box)

Liberty is synonymous with luxury but a look at the furniture feels like the store takes things one step further. Selling exotic and exquisitely crafted sofas, desks, armchairs, rugs and tables from all over the world, it is the shop of choice for the wealthy. While most of us may only be able to look, if you come into some money or just enjoy ploughing all of your cash into statement furniture then this is the place to come for pure luxury.
