Tyler as a young manager Old Kent Road, was excellent in his help with purchase problems. I highly recommend him for a promotion and to teach others about great customer service, which did not happen with others in the store that day.

I spent 2 hrs with a 'kitchen design consultant' who was very incompetent despite working there for '10 yrs'. In the end I was given a kitchen with every item discontinued. The printer wouldn't print out the kitchen so I got it by email. It was ridiculously out of proportion with errors all over it. I don't know what the other sores are like but this one has Dreadfully incompetent staff.

Been to that store to buy a tap connector so asked a sales guy what I needed to buy. The guy told me a pipe which didn't make any sense so I asked him to explain and he replied by "I can't be bother to explain" in the meantime he was telling his colleague "oh man my head is going to explode right now" suggesting that he went out last night and was massively hangover. This guy should be fired and replaced by someone willing to work and sell.

As has been said before, the staff there are just the worst. The final straw for me was when popping in quickly to buy a bucket, I picked up one from a main offer display, took it to a till to pay only to find there was no barcode. I mentioned this to the checkout assistant who sucked her teeth at me looked at me like a piece of dirt and barked/ordered me to go and get her another one for her. Disgusting behaviour really. Only use this place if I have no choice and when I do I brace myself to be treated like utter trash for being there.

My advice is to avoid this store at all cost. The staff are lazy, ignorant and stupid. The staff are clueless about their own products, customer service is exceptionally lacking. At 10 o'clock on a Saturday morning staff were on the shop floor but not one check out was open. I'm taking my complaint a lot further as I believe that this store is the most appalling I have ever been to. I don't ever remember a member of staff sucking their teeth and walking off as they are challenged about their unacceptable conduct.

The MOST APPALLING customer service I have ever experienced EVER! from my experience of being passed onto multiple staff regarding a query on a product none of them had a clue of even the layout of the floor, products, or could even be bothered engaging in any form customer service whatsoever, surprised they are still open..stay away from this store unless you want to completely waste your time!!! TRULY HORRENDOUS!!!

Customer services is appalling, there is no staff available for assistance or guidance and like everyone else has said ,the staff feel as though we owe them something,it is a crying shame as there are others desperate for a job :(

Unfortunately I have to agree with the majority of reviews on here. Customer service is extremely minimal. The self checkout till points are just not designed for a store like this. The staff seem completely uninterested in thier job and the last time I went there I was made to feel like the lady at checkout was doing me a favour by scanning my goods.

I do feel management needs looking at. I wouldn't say every single member of staff has a bad attitude but one rotten apple spoils the bunch.

This store is a model of excellence in how not to run a store. Long waits at checkouts - rude or indifferent staff, none or mis-labelling and pricing errors. Staff just standing around chatting while customers struggle through the tills which aren't built for purpose - appalling. If you are feeling too happy with yourself this is definitely the place to go.

Just as per the over reviews, the customer service isn't great. Te customer service member of staff barely acknowledged me as she, seemingly reluctantly, processed our exchange. Management needs changing.

I was appalled by the lack of customer service and general rudeness from most of the staff in this store.

I spend quite a lot of money in this store and resented it, not wishing to return.

Non-existent customer service. In fact, almost all the staff I have dealt with on a number of different occasions have been thoroughly rude. No help is offered when you enter the store until the time you leave. Staff talk to each other when you try and pay for a product. I had to wait 30 minutes to return a product in the store. The telephone service is equally appalling - the woman asked for my pin number in order to process a refund for an item I did not even receive. Avoid this particular B&Q at all costs.

I agree with the above reviews, customer service is non-existent, Although further away I prefer to go to Greenwich Branch. Last time I went to Old Kent Road staff were chattering to each other, despite some-one tan-noying for help, none of them moved.

Commercials generally are a different world from the reality you find when walking into a shop but this place is truly something of a different kind. Very unhelpful, virtually no customer service, and by all means do not try to reach them by phone unless you like that ringing sound.

It has improved in the last year or so but is still one of the worst stores I have ever visited, we use this store as a last resort.
