To start:
Not damage expensive items and/or not take in items they are incompetent to clean.
Alternatively, warn a client of their incompetency in advance to give the client an option to choose whether to proceed.
For the manager to take responsibility for damaged items and not point at the scratched ureadable notice under the cieling supposedely exempting him from all sins.
Agree to compensate for the damaged item without pointing at the abovementioned notice and saying 'not my fault' until the client's patience runs out.
