There is no one to help you renew a passport. Our only hope is to visit the consulate in person and beg mercy to help us.

After 34 years in London as a Spanish citizen I can really sadly say that the interest, treatment, respect and professionalism and effectiveness in the Spanish consulate is been cero and still hasn’t improved after 3 decades….
Terribly sad as this is such an important place for all of us as immigrants… there also are so they should reflect and try to be proud of the services no the opposite.

No one answers the phone the website doesn’t work something needs to be fixed as this is making it very difficult for the people who need their ID.

After the experience have last week and today, to collect our passports, so sad to be honest with the staff working in the Spanish Consulate, very rude, no manners, and no respect, Dear Ambassador looking at this issue, Consulate is ours home, this people's treat us like we coming for the third world, they acting like they are much superior to all of us, you have a very bad reputation for long time, but now is the worst,

I also was unable to get through by telephone so used the email contact option given on he website. I received a helpful response within 3 hours which let us complete the necessary forms and set up appointments on line.
My husband and I attended our Legalizaciones appointments today. Everything went smoothly and efficiently and everyone we dealt with was pleasant and helpful. We arrived around 25 minutes early but only had to wait outside for approx. 5 minutes. Despite having separate appointments, we were seen together and had completed our business and left the building 10 minutes before our first appointment.

I too have been unable to get through on the phone. I don’t live in London so a trip to the Consulate is not easy. I don’t want to arrive and be turned away or not have all the required paperwork. Don’t understand how a Consulate can function without a telephone service!

You could make a huge improvement to your "service" by answering the phone. I have only ever managed to get either busy tone or ring tone but no answer.

You can improve the system by providing better information. I have been there 3 times trying to get some information about how to start a Spanish marriage and the only thing I have managed to do is to get a certificate of residence . Really bad organised. First time I was turned down after, 1 hour queuing, by the gard at the gate saying that the Civil Register shuts at 13.00 ( whereas on the website says 14.00). There is not accurate information provided there and whenever they mistake their only excuse is " well the information is on the website". A good place to waste your time. Good luck

We went to the consulate today 25 January to apply for NIE . We arrived without an appointment we were welcomed by the policeman with a smile told to go to the third floor. We only waited a few minutes a lovely lady took us into her office I had taken forms and photo copies of our passports as requested it only took less than half an hour from the time we arrived. Great service thank you

My 93 year old Mother-in-law needed a replacement NIE certificate and my husband needed to apply for one today.
We arrived without an appointment and the Spanish Policeman who greeted us at the door was very friendly and helpful. The Lady who dealt with the paperwork also couldn't have been more helpful.
Thank you so much for making everything easy for us.
