Received shockingly bad service and quality that did not match what was promised. Following receipt of the item we requested a refund which was refused and it took cancelling payment with my credit card company in order to ensure the item - which I had returned - was credited.

Being advertised as a "Bespoke" furniture provider, we discussed an order and finally placed it in the same day and I was confident I would get exactly what I wanted. Paid 60% in advance as requested.
We were delivered an order that was close to what we wanted but not the one we discussed and specifically the very function that made us go to a bespoke furniture shop was not installed. Arguments to explain the difference were poor ("quite often discussion in shop don't close on the same day, hence details were not taken well enough"), and the cost to change it was ridiculously high and would have to be covered by me in most part (30% of the furniture value to add).
After just a few days, we saw cracks appear on the painting and in wood of the furniture. It appeared that the material was not the best and there was a production issue.
Furniture was removed to be corrected on the "cracks" issue and not on the design as I did not want to cover that additional cost.
Now that we have received the furniture, only after 24 hours, the shelves are already bent under the weight of few books and DVDs!
All in all: very disappointing, very expensive for the quality of product and service !!! For the same price I would have gone to high street retailer at Okka for same design and far better quality !!!

We just received our dining table and sofa armchair from AKTA's workshop. So beautiful, my wife and I are very pleased. Thank you for all your help, we will be back soon.

AKTA offers a tailor made design and build furniture service.
Its the one stop shop where ou can have your curtains, sofas dining tables and cabinets made to whatever size in your colour. I had a footstool made in Gotland sheep fleece for my dogs and made a bespoke chesterfield made to match curtains.
