I have used this garage for 10 years, they have kept me on the road and always made time to help me on urgent occasions
The only DOWN side is the main mechanic availability, like all businesses they have a turnover of staff and real life issues.

Abbey Auto serviced my car a few weeks ago. My partner picked up my car and drove off not realised that the Check Engine / Service Your Car light had come on on the dash. I took it back in and they said it was nothing to do with them, I tried to explain that it had never come on before and I wanted to know what it meant. They didn't know, so I pressured them to run a diagnostics on it - it was P1656 OCV Bank 1. They didn't know what it meant and asked me to Google it. I did and said there was a fault with the Oil Control Valve unit. They explained it was nothing to do with them as they had only changed the oil and (their words) they didn't even know where that valve was. I asked them if they could tell me if they knew of an engineer who might know where certain valves where in engines. I googled it on my car make / model and showed them. They then could not turn the light off - so there is something clearly wrong.
RUBBISH - light still on and they are refusing to fix.

I have been using this garage for years...I can only assume the negative reviews below are by competitors, as they have without exception been able to make time at short notice, willing and able to source parts in a matter of hours, friendly, given diagnosis and advice for free, efficient service, and most of all, the bill is always way less than I expect!
Does the below reviewer really believe anyone would be quite so blatant as to give a car back minus a sat-nav? Would they still be in business if they did this? Why didn't you go to the police? Don't like this kind of thing at all.

This garage always does my MOT and I have had repairs done several times and have had no problems! Friendly workers and resonably priced.

Poor customer service, lost my car and made me feel responsible for coming 'too early'. When I finally got it back it was filthy and had an extra 25 miles on the clock. Price not as agreed either.

I had my bonnet repaired at this garage. Very shocked to find my Sat Nav disappeared from the glove compartment after using them.
Obviously wouldn't ever go back there, and be wary about ever recommending them
