Urban Bliss

I have been going to Urban Bliss for about four years. It's had a change of team and Orlando is my hairdresser. He advised me to have the Keratin treatment as my hair is quite thick and course, and it's like a dream come true. I have recently had my second treatment and am so pleased with the results, well worth the money. Orlando cuts my hair beautifully, I have so many compliments on the condition and cut of my hair. My daughter also has her hair cut by the lovely lady stylist. Some staff changes have happened (the reception staff could do better!) but I'm so happy with the stylists there and have recommended this salon to friends and family. I don't usually add comments on forums, but I felt moved to comment after reading so much negative feedback. The staff certainly haven't been rude to me or my daughter and I haven't witnessed any such behaviour when going to Urban Bliss. It's like they have visited a differnt salon!!

Bad bad bad. Stay away if you value your locks, and your cash. Bad service, Bad customer service, bad management. I also had a Keratin treatment, which i've had before frequently, and have had amazing results... not on this occasion. My hair has been so badly damaged, that i've had to have inches cut off. The management don't return their calls. Bad business. Save your cash, and go elsewhere.

I recently had the keratin treatment and was happy with the service and results. Orlando was very friendly and professional,gave tips and advice and my overall experience a pleasant one. My hair looks great!will definately go back :)

i went to have a Keratine treatment on Saturday and I had a really good experience. The stylist who saw me, Orlando, was super friendly and witty and seemed to know the product very well. I arrived on time and was seen immediately, offered coffee/tea regularly and I'm really happy with the result of the treatment. I'm surprised to read the negative comments, as mine was all the opposite, I'll definitely go back and I recommend it. :)

This place is terrible! I went for a keratin treatment which I have had before at other places, it took 3 hours, was extremely painful, and I was basically forced into paying an extra £15 for a blow dry afterwards. The man who did it (Orlando I think) was rude. He was constantly making derogatory comments about my hair and it's colour/cut which were not helpful. My hair now smells fairly chemically which I haven't experienced before with a keratin blowdry, and reading what other users have said I'm starting to panic a bit now that I may have ruined it! I have very thick hair anyway, but I don't want it to get thinner or fall out. I would avoid this salon at ALL COSTS, it was empty anyway, but don't fall for the Groupon deals, really an awful experience and I wish I'd never gone!

I had a similar bad experience when I went to get a Keratin treatment at Urban bliss. I thought the hairdressors were very rude and were bullying me into having my hair washed after my Kertain treatment which would have costed me an extra £20. There were 2 hairdressors one spanish guy and one Afrocaribbean lady who were like making rude comments about me and other clients. They were moaning to clients and to me as to how long they had to work and how they would not get a lunch break...I mean come on your not going to get tips for moaning at clients. NO wonder they were not that busy and needed to get clients through Groupon. They should be embarrassed by their behavior. My hair does not even look like I have had Keratin treatment unlike the other times I have had Keratin where the results have been a silky shiny finish. My hair is still unmanageable and not even that shiny. It took my hairdressor 3 hrs to do my hair when It has taken 2hrs for my usual hairdressor to wash and blow dry it striaght partly because she was busy chatting to her fellow evil haidressor about clients and answering the phone all the time. What a waste of a saturday.
I will never go there again and I plan to write a complaint letter to the manager/owner. I have had the worst experience there and the funny thing was my hairdressor kept on saying to me I need to relax and enjoy the experience...total unaware of their own rude behaviour.

WARNING! The worst salon ever! RUN AWAY if you don't want to ruin your hair. If you love your hair and don't want any damage done to it then you will avoid this place like a plague. I went for a keratin treatment which I have done plenty of times before and always loved the results; this time the stylist not only fried my hair but it became weaker, thinner and looked dead after the wash! On top of that, my hair smelled like some foul chemical for days!!! This is not the result after keratin treatment! After going back to the salon, the stylist didn't think anything was wrong with my hair when it looked horrible. I always had tears in my eyes! When I have asked for the refund, my contact information was given to the management from whom I have not heard. Obviously, they can't face or admit the false advertisement the salon makes. Very poor management with no care about the customer service and the stylists use poor products which damage your hair. Awful. This salon doesn't even deserve a one star!

Urban Bliss has unfortunately gone down hill drastically since new management. My hair is uneven and the colour is different to the colour we agreed on. I responded to a 50% SMS offer only to be told i could only have 25% off until I produced the text message. And lastly they couldn't take credit cards something the receptionist could have told me when she called me 3 times that morning to confirm my appointment at various different times. I definitely won't go back there, a real shame as it was a superb salon with great hairdressers previously.
