I had my benefits payment suspended through no fault of my own as I was asked to hand in some paperwork which I took to the jobcentre and instead of sending it like it stated on my journal the person who took the paperwork off me added a note verifying I had handed it over to them, but they still suspended my payment and I had to go to the jobcentre on 5 different days as the first time I was told by a manager that he had contacted the department who wanted the paperwork and I would be paid before 8pm which didn't happen, then for yhe next 3 days i was fobbed off bring told sonething different rvery time, it wasnt until i got to speak to tge floor manager Richard that I was taken seriously and he helped got my paymebt released even though it eas now 3 weeks later, i am terminally ill and none of this should of ever happened but they dudnt care how ill i was either, if you want sonething done by them speak to Richatr he is the inly helpful one in the whole place if you ask me.

A very friendly and helpful jobcentre. Many many staff go out of their way to help you choosing the right jobs for you. They refer you to relevant jobs, training programmes. All in all they are very good.

But there are a few select individuals who are extremely rude. Unwilling to listen to anything you have to say. This afternoon I had an appointment with a bloke. I'm not sure what his problem was. He gave me an appointment that clashes with a course I'm doing, and I tried to explain it to him many times. But he wasn't having any of it. Cut me off 4 times, almost like a robot, repeating himself, "If you can't make it contact your job coach". Not once but 4 times. The manner in which he said it, it was almost as if he's treating me like I don't understand the English language, as if my understanding of the language is inadequate. In the end I left, as there was no way through the rudeness of this person. I left the place angered, and upset. A day should not start like this.

Anyway all in all they offer a great service. It's a shame a select few can put a downer on it.
