I had such a good experience. I've worn glasses since 7 and contacts since 16 and find the whole eye test process a chore but actually left feeling like I'd visited friends!
A very personalised and professional service. From tea, water and my coat taken to talk of life and family it was like a day out.
And when I say a thorough eye test I'm talking the full ink drops in the eye dilation routine, retina scan/photo, tracking moving lights in the light box etc. Good advice without the hard sell. The optician works in a hospital too so you know you're getting the latest knowledge on eye

I have been coming to Drury Porter for many years now and I cannot fault their excellent customer service and attention to detail. They have consistently done the best eye tests for me and have always managed to help me find the best and most stylish specs for my prescription. I highly recommend them and tell all of my friends to head their way for tests, glasses or contacts. A real treasure in bloomsbury!

I went to specsavers for contact lens in Brunswick last october 2014. The optician lost the contact lens in my eye. A senior had to take it out. I lost my confidence in wearing contact lenses.
Then I went to Drury Porter Eyecare. I found them much more professional and the practitioner was able to fit me with contact lenses more competently and she was not in a rush.Nnow I am happily wearing contact lenses. I would definitely recommend Drury Porter Eyecare.

Received unhelpful and unfriendly services from the staff when I was in there asking some general questions about lens fitting and frames. The staff was not patient at all and just wanted to drive me away even though there were no other customers in the store.

Dear Kate Lee. we took over Drury Porter Eyecare in Feb 2014. the previous owner had had the practice for 23 years prior. we knew the previous owners very well and I am sure the lack of service you had on that particular day was not the reflection on their long lasting positive history.

Appointment was able to be booked very quickly. Eye test was efficient and thorough. Good range of frames, although as expected, at London prices. Glasses ready within same week. Fitting was good and staff exceptionally nice and friendly. Much better than some of the big chains I have used. Would both recommend them and use them again.

I have been coming to Drury Porter for over twenty years and they have alweays been completely accommodating and professional. Some years ago I was working in the US and had my wallet stolen a few days before I split a contact lens. They got me new lenses out to Phildelphia within a week withn absolutely no fuss, I had to wait another 2 weeks before my US bank was able to replace my ATM card. They are consistantly excellent and the many friends who have taken to them on my recommendation agree.

Drury Porter Eyecare would not give me a copy of my prescription, even though i insisted i have a right to it. As i do television work, i need glasses with anti glare coating, they charged me for this and did not put the anti glare coating on it. They had the nerve to charge me 30 quid for an appointment that i had actually rang and cancelled, then accused me of not phoning to cancel it! Terrible opticians.
