Optical Express

I had the worst opticians experience of my life at this store. They lost my details, lost my appointment, let someone else in before me who hadn’t even made an appointment, so I had to wait for them to finish even though I had booked in advance and they hadn't. By the time I finally got my eye test started, the optician left 2 minutes in to deal with another customer’s query. She left me waiting for 10 minutes in the eye-test room without even apologizing or telling me what she was doing.

I strongly recommend avoiding this place. When it comes to the health of your eyes you need to feel confident that the staff are professional and know what they are doing. I certainly didn't feel that with this store, and i won't be going back to it or any branch of Optical Express again.

I have to say, I have never been very impressed by the service provided by Optical Express, but this branch takes the biscuit. They make disorganisation look like a virtue. Their customer service is appauling, their computer system is antiquated and the employees follow procedures dogmatically, even when continuing to do so goes against every shred of common sense and reason. Needless to say, I am in the process of moving my custom elsewhere.

Very poor service - no greeting when entering and appointments seem to regularly run late. I waited half an hour for my check up despite making an appointment in advance. I also saw someone leave out of exasperation because their appointment time had not been kept. This also happened when I went in with an appointment on a different day - this time despite making myself known to no less than 3 of the staff they completely neglected to call me for my appointment and I did not get to see the optician at all as they took the next person on the list. Very unprofessional and the actual optical check up and glasses styles seem no different to what you can get elsewhere.
