Initial City Link

Been waiting 2 days for a parcel to arrive, and despite clear instructions and leaving my contact number, they have gone to somebody else's address and left a delivery note. Again.
Still that's better than Amazon Logistics, who posted the item through someone else's letter box.
The question remains: "How hard can it be?" the postman manages to find us every time. Maybe they could get an internship as a paper boy, or similar. I can only assume they tried that and got fired.

Second time I've had to deal with them and, once again, their service is completely awful. I will no longer buy from a company that uses them for delivery.

This is what I told them as suggested improvements:

By making weekend deliveries possible. By having a customer service phone number VISIBLE on the card you leave behind. By Training your delivery staff to 1. actually *read* the notes customers leave for them 2. Call me if there's a problem and leave a message if I can't pick up (I posted my phone number on my door) 3. Call on one of my 6 neighbours to see if they could take it

CityLink is the worst ever !!! Every time that i had a parcel to be delivered by them a problem encountered. Sometimes for a next day delivery I had to wait a week or two!! But what happened today is outrages. I ordered last night by Amazon prime delivery and citylink meant to deliver it today. I go to the website and it says the parcel is successfully delivered!!!!!!!!!!!! Then who signed for it ? An "abdullah" name signed it. First my name is not Abdullah, second none of my neighbours name is abdullah !then to whom citylink delivered my parcel??? hmmmmm... big question . They are a waste of time and money... will never ever recommend them to anyone.

This is one of the worst delivery companies we have dealt with. Out of 16 deliveries this month (December 2009) we have received just ONE (1) on time. The worst case was a delivery at the beginning of the month which was 8 days late. Our deliveries come from various places including Amazon, Printing companies and Office suppliers.

Each time we were told "no one was in to collect the goods". We were told they'd taken a photo of the door to prove they were here - when they described the door over the phone, it was a door which was at least 3 months old (we've had a new door installed 3 months ago).

On average we get 2-3 deliveries per day from Parcel Force, UPS, DHL and other couriers - NONE of whom have ever had a problem with reaching us - purely because there is ALWAYS someone here between 8am - 8pm. The only day there isn't - is on Xmas day.

City-Link are liars. Simple as that. Whenever we place orders with print companies, amazon or other shopping sites - we specifically call to make sure they don't use City-Link... we're even prepared to pay extra for a different courier because City-Link is just not worth the hassle.

1 out of 16 deliveries on time - what a record.
Blatant liars.
They cut off calls when you try to complain.
Their online tracking system is a joke.
Online system always shows that delivery was attempted between 5.15pm-5.28pm (ALWAYS)
They will always claim "you were not at home".

Don't fall for it. Demand to see the so-called photo they took of your door.
Better yet, call the shop you ordered from and make sure they don't use City-Link.

By the way, whilst I write this, I'm still waiting for 3 out of those 16 deliveries I mentioned earlier - guess what... apparently I wasn't here to collect the goods (for the 5th day in a row).
