I have no idea who would write negative reviews about this place, Such a lovely family post office! These guys have been here for ages, it really is a lovely atmosphere every single time I've come in. Both the man and the lady go out of their way to be helpful and make you smile. They are always nice to my kids when they come in and I've seen them bend over backwards for other customers too.
It's so nice to have such a friendly family run post office in busy Hammersmith

I strongly suggest that everyone pays for their post using The Royal Mail website (measure and weigh everything correctly, its in your favour to do so!) you will find this is more time efficient and you will always pay the correct price and select the correct service for your items.
Postmaster will be very happy to assist you by accepting your pre-paid items knowing that the customer is receiving the correct service and he is doing his job well.

I've ben to this branch twice in the last couple of months, and both times the staff have been unhelpful and rude. Both times the queue was long, but whilst there were four staff members in the shop only one counter was open. The others seemed to be pretending not to notice us, with one messaging on his mobile phone. On both occasions I was treated as if I was an annoyance, and both times I came away thinking 'never again'.

Despite the many negative reviews I have grown very fond of this post office branch. Prior to lockdown I used the post office within WH Smith, assuming because it was bigger it would be more professional somehow. If anything, since switching to this branch, I’ve learned that bigger isn’t necessarily better. The manager of the branch is very knowledgeable and personable. I suspect he may have his off days just like everyone. And that when treated like a person, rather than a customer service representative, the experience is far superior to the bigger branches. These are people behind the glass folks. Not robots. It would behove you to treat them so.

This post office is a joke. Very unprofessional service. Staff usually on their mobiles dealing with their personal stuff while serving customers. Not to mention the waiting forever time which is caused by unnecessary unpleasant talking. Very disappointed...

Personable, helpful and friendly. The staff here are wonderful.
I'm sure the negative reviews must be for the other post office nearby because this one couldn't be better.
If only all post offices were run like this.

Went in to post two packages, one special delivery, and one a return to retail seller, and came out feeling done over and wondering what had happened. How could such a simple transaction be so unpleasant? Rude and patronising service. Very passive aggressive tone. What a contrast to the helpful staff at Vencourt place. Would avoid totally in future ... if it were not for the fact that this is now the only Post Office counter on King street. Bizarre for such a large place as Hammersmith.

I would definitely agree with the last reviewer. I just came back from this substitute post office an hour ago and the man behind the plastic at 168 King Street definitely needs training. I was getting my daughter's passport renewed and the gov't website says if you want you can pay the higher postage for a signed delivery just for security. I said to the man I will pay for the signed delivery vs the normal delivery, he said that costs £2.45. I had double wrapped the passport in bubble wrap and it was a large letter size. He tried very hard to pursuad me to pay £6.70 for track and reach by Monday but I said I didn't need it immediately given the lockdown and inability to travel so delivery by Wednesday was fine...he was not happy. Then he said as I was leaving actually I shouldn't have charged you for a large letter as this is bigger than that? I put it thought the large letter opening slightly pushing and I said it goes through fine, its bubble wrap. The passport is a UK passport and not large. I think he may not let it go through, he put it through as well but was just staring at me like this isn't going to work. He is absolutely horrible. I really wish Royal Mail could select more reliable stores with integrity and not trying to make an extra buck for no valid reason??

Really nice guy behind the counter.. Very clear, very quick, but also incredibly personable and always has a smile. I could never have imagined recommending a post office... But this chap deserves it!

The staff at 168 King Street post office urgently need customer service training, this needs to cover the basics of manners, civility and respect for customers. The staff at this branch are outrageously rude.
