Royal Mail

Leyton Delivery Office is supposed to be open until 8pm on Wednesdays. It is the only day of the week that it is open beyond 6pm for collecting mail. As I do not finish work until later than 6pm, I can only get there on Wednesday evenings. Yesterday, I raced across London, encountering public transport problems en route (tube & bus) and arrived at the delivery office at 7.55. Imagine how annoyed I was to find that the gate and front door were locked. This is not the first time that this has happened. If the opening hours are until 8pm, then it should mean 8pm, not 10 to, not 5 to. The majority of working population don't get to skive off early....especially it has an impact on customers! Sort out your sorting office staff, Royal Mail!!!

Approx 10 years ago for nearly 1 year almost every parcel "got lost" I eventually complained bitterly & since then have all my parcels sent to my mum's. I made huge mistake & had an item sent to me and guess what, it never arrived and is "lost" yet again nothing's changed in 10 years...!!!????

all i wanted to do is talk to someone but went round in circles with no joy.
i think the service is shocking. i waited in a whole day for delivery's that didn't
come only to find in the outside post box a delivery card, so no one called to my door, i then went to the dispatch office to pick it up only to be faced with 5 items not just for me but for other tenants in the house. i then noticed the item i went for in the first place wasn't there so i asked if he could have another look and he found another package on another shelf. i went back home and delivered all the post to the other teants, one of the parcels was for me which i'de been waiting for but got no delivery card for, the other tenants also got no delivery cards. i opened the pack that i went for in the first place and it was a book that had been dispached a month earlier again with no card, i went back the next day and picked up the package along with two more items for other people in the house. today all i wanted to do is save myself more money on bus fairs as the last ordeal cost me £4.80 on fairs and an hour off work, i am still waiting on a letter for my daughter that that she paid extra for to arrive before 14th Feb we still haven't received it. but now it looks like i will just have to go the depot and see what might or might not be there? very unhappy (i don't blame the staff)
