I always buy my shoes from Bowleys these days, usually Cheaney and RM Williams boots. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The choice of shoes/boots available is excellent. I have been using the shop for at least 15 years and have always experienced excellent service. Highly recommended.

I took a pair of Churchs shoes in to ask how they could fix the poor refurbishment. I got a 5 minute monologue on how it was all down to Churchs and they took no payment for that service ...... If I wanted a repair they could send them back for inspection and consideration of whether there was a problem or not. I could contact Churchs directly but they would only send me back to the shop. How can they improve - by taking responsibility for the service they provide and showing more courtesy when shown a clearly shabby repair.

I really cannot fault the service at Bowleys, when served by Caroline. I visited a month ago, just browsing. Caroline has an excellent manner with customers and will match the product exactly to your needs as her expertise is clearly an asset. Nothing is too much trouble, no matter how many you try on. Ended up buying two pairs of boots ( and not cheap I hasten to add) and they are so comfortable, couldn’t be more delighted with them.
I appreciate the previous comments made, as I have had poor service from an earlier visit, whereby it was the opposite experience, made to feel uncomfortable asking for a return, and the shoes I bought instead I’m not happy with the fitting but can’t do anything about that.
I have chosen Bowleys due to their vast choice however I will make my purchases carefully and most definitely with the help of Caroline. Well done! Maybe she should be training all the others?

I am disappointed with the quality of service at Bowleys. During my last visit, it was apparent that the male sales assistant knew very little about men's shoes. He also annoyed me when I asked to purchase a shoe tree by only showing me the most expensive type in the shop (£50) even though there were alternatives on sale. I was also upset that when I asked if I could return the shoes if I changed my mind after trying them on at home, he didn't mention that Bowleys do not give refunds. In my view, this level of service falls short of that provided by other retailers (incl. on-line).

This shop has rude staff and the worst returns policy in London. They are not cheap so the poor quality of service was a shock. They accused me of lying when I insisted I was told I could return shoes if they were unsuitable.

I will never shop here again.

Customer service in Bowleys Shoes, Richmond is more or less non-existent. I bought some Hunter boots for my wife. She didn't like the colour and they refused to refund. I was SOLD the boot care kit and Hunter socks that as a mug I bought. But Very Poor Customer Service. I suggest you AVOID!

Bowley's Shoes is an unprofessional establishment with low quality service and a very poor selection of shoes. To make matters worse, they have among the worst return policy of any retail company I have visited. My experience with them has been nothing but negative and I strongly encourage potential customers to shop elsewhere. Why risk shopping at a place that, should you decide you made a mistake in your purchase, will not refund your money and will instead force you to purchase a pair of their low quality, over priced shoes. With so many options out there, why take a risk with Bowley's? Furthermore, it should be mentioned that their stores are dingy and service unpleasant. Frankly I have no idea what I was thinking shopping there in the first place. Don't make the same mistake!!
