When my young child was caught short at Eat, Kingsway, I was shocked to find that not only do they not have a public toilet, but that the duty manager prevented one of the other staff allowing my desperate child to use a staff toilet. Instead she brusquely directed us to run up the road in the rain to use the toilets at a neighbouring Starbucks!
To avoid my child having an accident on the floor of the eatery, I abandoned our possessions, food and drinks to do as she directed. When we returned 15 mins later, it was only due to the kindness of one of the members of staff that our belongings had not been stolen and our meal cleared away. He apologized profusely for our experience and gave my child a compensatory cake.
I have eaten in Eat many times - usually excellent service and good for corporate lunch breaks - so I was extremely shocked by the rude treatment received at the Eat on Kingsway 3 March 2018. Do not Eat in there if you are likely to need the loo or have child
