I've been going here for years, pretty much since it opened I think. It's great, the staff are friendly and talented and the atmosphere is always fun. They even nip next door and get me a pint when I really need one…

Not what I expected for a £30 men's haircut. I felt uncomfortable from the moment I walked in, it was dirty inside (both upstairs and downstairs), the hairdresser had stains on his shirt, I was not offered any refreshments, the water used to wash my hair was cold. That said, the haircut was ok.

Clapham is full of hairdresssers and I've tried most of them: Willis B has to be the standout, in a class of its own. Nicest salon, excellent service, stylish cutting and good products. Manager Andrew is a bit of a star. Only small criticism is that you can't book on line, but phone is always picked up immediately

I've been having my hair cut at Willis B Clapham for 10 years now and have always had a good cut and colour. I've used a few of their different stylist over the years as I often go without an appointment and have whoever is free. I find the staff very welcoming and accomodating. Last few haircuts have been with Moose and I've been very happy. Once he even did a little up-do for me after a cut, as I was going to work. It was a nice little personal touch.

I just hopped on here to find the number of the place and have to say my experience has been the opposite of most of these reviews. I guess if you've had a bad experience you're far more likely to complain about it.

I've been coming to Willis B since my housemate recommended it a couple of years ago as we'd recently moved to Clapham North. I've since moved to Tulse Hill and still come here. I'm not sure about the other hairdressers but Nuch is fab - she always gives great hair advice, doesn't shout at you about split ends and cuts my hair perfectly every time.

Only reason I'm taking a star off is that I'd like a head massage when my hair is being washed - Willis B if you're listening it would be great to include this :)

So that's my thoughts on Willis B - would happily recommend it (especially Nuch) to anyone!

A complete rip off!

I went in there and got a terrible haircut and when she finished she tried to charge me £30 for it. I'm male by the way and basically asked for a short back and sides, but got what looks like a crew cut. The manager reduced the price to £15 (still way over priced) when I said that the price was high, but not before lecturing me for ages first about how no-one else had ever complained (I can't believe this was true as the woman I complained to immediately got the manager and this seemed like her standard routine). This place does not look, feel or offer the service of a hairdressers where you might expect to pay £30 for a mens haircut. Do not go they will mess up your hair and try to rip you off!

I had a visit to willis b & was totally looked after.The young girl that saw me first was happy & helpful.My stylist was the salon owner called Andrew who was very helpful & took great care & time with me. The end result was the best i ever had at a hairdressers every one seemed happy to be there clients & staff..... Im going again for some colour with a girl called kristina who took some time out for me when i asked about colour to the young girl when i came in,she came to me with lots of idears which made me feel great & noticed ......... only reason i did not give 10/10 is one of the guys spilt my water...[only joking] Anyway i would say yes to willis b wy now favourite place .......

Hi, I would not recommend this salon if you're going for highlights. I have just had mine done there and they are not at all what I asked for, very patchy with a 1 cm root in places! On ringing to ask if this could be fixed I was met with a hostile reaction and basically no attempt made to fix the situation. Poor service.

Not a good experience. I explained what I wanted and got a completely different cut with the comment that it was a more creative haircut. I explained very carefully what my hair is like, how it does or doesn't like being cut etc before the haircut but all to no avail. I now have a haircut that looks like two people were cutting it at the same time - one from the top, one from the bottom and they were both surprised when they met in the middle. I wouldn't recommend this salon.
