I've just had my hair cut and blow dried At Andrew Brown's and it was absolutely terrific. For the past few years I've gone to a wide range of salons from local to famous and while they could all cut hair, none of them listened and understood what I wanted. Andrew did and cut it exactly as we'd discussed - others have said they understood then just did their own thing. There were 4 other ladies each having different styles cut while I was there and while I can't speak for them I can say they all looked very happy. The atmosphere was relaxing and I love the doggie in the window.

For the first time I had a cut, colour and blow dry in an hour! I got the impression I was being rushed in and out. It wasn’t cheap either- I paid over £100. I was assured 7 minutes for a semi-perm colour was fine but it faded completely a couple of weeks later. It was just confirmed by a new hairdresser how awful the cut was- that it was old fashioned, didn’t work for my hair type and had left it looking very thin. The worst part of the evening at AB was my hairdresser complaining that it took a long time to dry my hair. I hope they improve.

Hi,

I found this site while looking for the number for the salon and have to say I'm really surprised by the negative reviews. I guess everyone"s experience is different but I can't recommend the Andrew Brown salon highly enough. Here's why;

Ryan cuts my hair every 6 weeks or so and always does a really good job. I've always been a bit funny about my hair but I leave the salon feeling great with a haircut that get's compliments.

The atmosphere in the place is friendly and a bit cheeky and while it could look a little intimidating from the outside (cool staff, clean space...) everyone I've ever dealt with there have always been really down to earth and they make feel like one of the gang.

It's very good value, I pay 30 or so pounds for a mens cut and blow-dry that looks amazing. I've paid 50+ elsewhere and got nowhere near as good a haircut or experience.

They also make a cracking cup of tea.

Agreed a price on the phone and when I paid it was £35 more than agreed... never got asked if I want any extra products nor was anything else done than discussed ... shame that they are in need of cheating on their customers - needless to say I am not a returning one!

Andrew brown :( I was not happy at all and will never be going back there. It looks lovely from the outside but to be honest the whole experience was very cold and robotic. hairdressers are meant to be about chatting to the stylist and feeling satisfied after leaving the salon like your hair looks fab! and you've poured your heart out..lol I no their not agony aunts but i was dismissed when i requested a certain style and told my face was to to fat for that cut. overal bad experience. is there any other nice salons on Bermondsey street??

This is an amazing salon with talented hairdressers - Brian sorted me out when I had a wedding hair emergency!
