I own a 15 year old Tag Heuer watch. In July, I took it to Ernest Jones for a battery replacement. One month (!) later they called me to say it needed a £200 service, on top of the £70 to replace the battery due to 'power leakage problems'. Despite repeated requests to explain this in writing they did not respond. I eventually got the watch back on October the 3rd !
I went to Watch Workshop on Friday the 9th of October. Two hours later the battery had been replaced with the watch in full working order for £89.95, with a lifetime guarantee.

I walked in and asked them to replace the watch on my battery as it had stopped. The guy told me that I needed to get my watch serviced and said it would cost £75! It seemed too much, so I went elsewhere and got the battery changed for £20.
I have been there 2 other times, and each time the guy has told me that their services must be paid for beforehand. Then each time, I come to pick up my items and the same guy asks for payment again! I showed the the receipt each time, but it annoys me.
I won't go back there, as they seem to want to rip their customers off as much as possible
